30 Day Shred Challenge - MAY!
This is my first time working out in like... EVER.
Trying to lose that last bit of baby weight and this yucky belly!
Anyone else doing it? We can support each other!
I just did it for the first time last night... I felt like such a dope! I could barely keep up with the MODIFIED part of Level 1. I probably did 90% of it because I did have to stop and rest for a second or two at times!
Anyone want to join me? (especially my other july 4th girls... )
Okay I made this the 30 day shred challenge. Who's in?
GOAL: Complete Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred DVD!
I want to try to do: 10 days at Level 1 10 days at Level 2 10 days at Level 3
Right now I'm doing the Modified version of Level 1 - I will try to do that for 5 days, then the "regular" version for 5 days. I'm only using 1.5 lb (each) weights

I didn't do it last night It was kind of a crazy day... I got home later than usual and DH went out so I was with the baby... then I made dinner... next thing I know, it's 8:00!
I'm going to do it tonight though I hope! My calves are KILLING me still!!!!

I couldn't do it last night because DS was cranky and only wanted mommy to hold him, and of course I ended up falling asleep. I promised I will do it today.

I would like to start doing this! I did this before I was preggo for a little while and it does help. I have been wanting to do it again but keep putting it off. The first time I ever did it I did it with no weights at all...then I used 3 lb weights...also I am a loser and can't do push ups so I pretty much just stay in a push up position and take a break for that, lol. I am thin and just about 5 lbs over pre-preg weight which I am fine with but my belly needs help. Last time I did it I never went above level 1, I was afraid to see the rest so I kept doing level 1, but it definitely tones you-I don't think I really lost weight from it though.

I might be in I have the DVD and I used it before I was pregnant with DS and found it good but I get bored easily and saw the Zumba DVD commercial today and wonder should I try that...watch this space I am going to post a thread on Zumba v 30 day and based on those results I will let you know.

Ha, I also have taken breaks during push ups.. I can do around 2 or 3.
lol.. I wish we all lived near eachother so that we can do our own 30 day shred class at one of our houses or something.

Where were you 3 weeks ago I have been doing it for almost 3 weeks. I did level 1 for 8 days then went to level 2. Busted my knee up pretty bad with pendulum lunges so I had to go back to level 1 and just use higher weights. I love this workout. My clothes are fitting better and I am looking better. I also have a lot more energy.

I was doing cardio weight training before I had ds. So say 3 years ago. I went back for a month before I started shred. So I had a experience to start with. You will be shocked at how fast you build endurance with this dvd. I started with 3lbs and am using 5's now. I might go to 8 and then move to level 2 again. I am just worried about my knee. Just remember the accuracy of the move is more imp than the weight being lifted. And watch your knees. If they hurt then minimize the move. I didn't and that's how I got hurt. I kept pushing through fatigue is fine but any actual pain means something is wrong

Did my 3rd day yesterday! I feel like I'm starting to see a little difference in my endurance and I hope to build it up a lot more!
I still can't manage to get through all of the push-ups (even modified!) or all of the jumping rope part... my calves are killing!!
Are you guys doing this 7 days/week?? Do you think 6 days/week is okay?

I did day 1 yesterday. omg, I wasn't able to do those push ups for anything.
I'm going to try & do this dvd 7 days but I think 6 days would be fine.
Are you modifying your diet? I'm going to try to eat more protein & less snack foods. The snacking will be hard b/c with DS, the easiest thing to do is grab a handful of goldfish or chips.

I did day 2 yesterday and I was so winded. I had to stop a few times.
I have been using weight watchers to guide me on my food intake.
