I am using 3lb weights but when they start too feel too heavy during the workout, I use water bottles.

I finished 6 days so far...
But... I totally fell off the "healthy eating" bandwagon this weekend!!!!

So I just did the first work out tonight. OMG-it is short and nasty! So hard. It feels good and I am glad I started, but I was sooo glad when it was done.
Anita is too hard for me even
I will push through! I hope I am not in too much pain to try it again tomorrow.

Hi ladies!
I've had the DVD for ages- but I did it last night for the first time. I did Level One, the modified version, with 2 lb weights. If I wasn't the mom of a kid who is big for her age I wouldn't have even been able to manage those, but my arms are in decent shape (unlike my stomach ). I survived the first workout! I don't know that I will be able to do 30 days straight- I am aiming for 5-6 days a week.

I feel better today than I did last night, so I am going to go for day 2-add me to the May list!

i completed day 7...
I definitely see a difference in my endurance. I get get through the whole 3rd cycle without stopping.
In the 2nd cycle, I still can't get through the whole jumping jacks, jumprope part. I can do the first 30 sec of jumping jacks and 30 sec of jump-rope... but the second set kills me! i need a break!
In the first cycle, I still can't get through the 2 rounds of pushups!!!! It's SO hard!
Do you think I should stick with Level 1 until I can do all of that? Or should I switch over to Level 2 on day 10?

I agree-I think the point of moving up to the next level is to challenge yourself. But, if the first level is still a challenge I would/will stay at that level until I can master it and then move on. I think I will have this same issue so I'll just stay at level 1 until it's not giving me a run for my money.

I agree-I think the point of moving up to the next level is to challenge yourself. But, if the first level is still a challenge I would/will stay at that level until I can master it and then move on. Okay, that's what I thought! I might be on Level 1 for the whole 30 days then! Would that be terrible???
Those pushups are just too much to handle! I can do maybe 10 in a row (with Anita... modified) and then I'm done and can't do more than 2 in the second round!

I'm a 30 Day Shred dropout.....last time I did it, I was doing really good till I got my period, and then never went back. This time I'm determined to finsih the 30 days.
Of course, that roll of fat i spotted today might also have something to do with it.

So...last night, Day 2, my 3 year old DD had a screaming fit just as I was getting to the 3rd circuit. She wanted to exercie with me and use a different DVD but that's the only one I have. DH couldn't settle her either so I just stopped. I'm feeling it today because I didn't get to stretch at the end and just stopped cold.
I think I am going to do some yoga tonight- Comcast has programs OnDemand so I think that will help with the stiffness, then tomorrow I'll do the workout again.

Can we report on how we're doing with each circuit in our level??
DAY 8
Circuit 1 - Was able to do the push-ups for almost the entire first 30 seconds, but did take a maybe 5 second break. Was able to do 5 push-ups during the second 30 second period. Completed rest without problem.
Circuit 2 - Was able to complete the strength portion without problem. For cardio, was able to do the first set of jumping jacks, first set of jump rope... needed a break during second set of jumping jacks, completed second set of jumprope. Completed abs portion without problem.
Circuit 3 - Completed strength, cardio & abs without stopping!!

Ok, Day 1 - couldn't finish I stopped after the 3rd circuit, so I guess I just skipped the cooldown part?
I did however, use 5 pound weights, which I almost dropped on my face as I was on my back

IT's good that you never HAD to exercise before-I wish
I did my 3rd night tonight.
Work out 1, pushed all the way through again-my legs are killing me but it's done and I'm showered and relaxing with a cup of tea

Welcome Samlove! GOOD LUCK! Let us know how your first night goes!
Here's my DAY 9 report:
Circuit 1 - Strength: did the first set of pushups... was able to do 17. Could only do a few in the second set. How the heck do you girls do all of those pushups? How many are you doing in each set??? No problem with the rest.
Circuit 2 - Almost got through the entire cardio, but did take a mini-break during the second set of jumping jacks.
Circuit 3 - Completed all with breaks!
