With all the celebrities passing this week.. I have a question.. which celebrity death of all time, not just this week affected you the most?

I have to say I was very upset when John Ritter passed awy. I grew up loving Threes Company. He was so young talented and it was so sudden. i am sure I wil think of others but right now he came to mind.

ETA: River Phoinex was another one. I loved him in Stand By Me and was obseessed with that movie when he died.

Even though I was only 10 at the time, I would say ELVIS.
It's probably the only one, that I remember where I was when I heard he died.
And I just remember how it effected everyone everywhere.

The one that stands out to me is JFK Jr. I was so disturbed by his death.

I also was bothered by Heath Ledger

John Spencer - he played Leo McGarry on West Wing. I have no idea why but it really upset me. Maybe because I loved Leo but I still cry when I watch those episodes of West Wing. Even my BIL said to my sister, "You're sister is going to be really upset about this" when he heard about Spencer dying.

Whenever there is a day when two celebrities die, like today, I think of the day that I came home from school in 5th grade and my mom told me that Jim Henson and Sammy Davis. Jr. died.

JFK Jr. (all I kept thinking about was the Bessettes losing both their daughters) and Princess Diana

Princess Diana was very hard for me. She was gorgeous!!!! She just started living her life outside the royal family and her life was taken way too short!!!!!!!!

not a celebrity but Pope John Paul II. I will forever regret not going to Rome. My cousins were at the Vatican when they announced his death and camped out there for about a week.
He was the most incredible man that ever lived and I am a better person for just being in his presence.

I would also have to say John Ritter because it was a shock to everyone and I always watched all his shows. I was a big fan.

Also i was shocked at JFK, Jr and his wife. I will never forget that day the plane crashed. They were 2 beautiful people.

JFK Jr really shocked and saddened me. I think I always hoped he'd break that Kennedy curse and he seemed like a down to earth guy. It seemed so terrible when he died

Princess Diana was heart breaking as well -- I just thought so much of her boy having to grow up without her and how much she loved them and helping out people around the world.

Honestly, probably Michael's death. Yes he was bizarre, but my earliest memories with my mother involved the two of us aerobic dancing on the floor in our den to his music. I must have been like 5 years old. I actually remember the music we danced to and that is really special memory for me.

I was really sad when Phil Hartman died- everything he said was just funnier!

John Spencer from The West Wing was such a shock and he was my favorite actor on that show.

Princess Diana and JFK Jr. In both instances I was glued to the tv, with Princess Diana I was up almost all night because the story broke late. And even though the Internet is not what it is now, I kept going online to check for updates.

JFK Jr's accident happened right around the day of my dad's birthday. I remember feeling bad because that was also the third anniversary of the crash of Flight 800 and it seemed that terrible things were happening on his bday and he was upset.

I remember Jim Henson really upsetting me back then...

George Harrison- big time. I even went to Strawberry Fields the night he died and sang in a mob of Beatles fans for hours. I was very little when John Lennon died, but I remember that affecting me.

and recently, Natasha Richardson. oh and I can't forget Princess Diana either...

I'm not sure if they are considered "celebrities" but the crew of the space shuttle, Challenger.

I remember learning about Christa McAuliffe and wishing she was my teacher at the time. I thought it was so cool that a teacher was going into space. I will never forgot this disaster.
