Changing the subject to think positive --- bleeding in first tri - w/ UPDATE 2
I'm bleeding as if I got my period.
I'm waiting for the doctor to call me back.
Are there any stories where girls bled in the beginning? I'm not talking spotting - I'm talking full on blood - like the beginning of a period.
Please help.

Update:
So we went and got a sono. I am supposed to be 6W4D. We saw a sac, but it was empty. The tech asked if I had 28 day cycles, I said no, more like 32 days. She said that would mean I'm only in week 5 and it's too soon to see a heartbeat.
She said that some bleeding is common. The sac is there and in a good position.
I am having slight cramping now, and still bleeding. I was very hopeful up until now. I'm going to wish for the best but I also need to be realistic.
Thanks to everyone for your FMs and prayers. They mean alot. I will update whenever I know more.
I'm going to call my dr. first thing in the morning and see if she can get me in for a beta, and maybe even another sono at the end of the week.
Update 2:
So today was pretty decent, I only had some brown bloody discharge which seemed positive to me. But, a little while ago I got the same cramps that I got yesterday morning and I knew when I went to the bathroom there would be blood, and sure enough - there was.
It's so hard to tell how much it is. It comes out in four little drops - so is that spotting? It looks like more once it hits the water though.
I'm still crampy now, so I'm just dreading going to the bathroom. This is every pregnant woman's worst nightmare.

Yes I bled with DS at the beginning and a couple of times afterwards.It wasn't a lot but it was red blood and enough to make me worry but it was nothing.

So sorry you are experiencing this! I personally have not had this during any of my pregnancies but I know sooo many people who have. All you can do now is wait and see. Hoping and praying everything is OK!

It didn't feel like I was getting my period... it just started to bleed. Are they bringing you in to check you out?

I bled very heavily with Lexi.....And then fairly heavily with my current baby from very ealy on.
I ended up having a sub-chorionic hematoma (a blood clot on my uterus) which I ended up finding out is pretty common...
Do you have any cramping??
Drink lots and keep your feet up in the meantime till you get in to your OB ...I know how scary it is, try not to think the worst

I just heard back from my doctor. I love her. She is getting me into the office for a 1 o'clock sono. I'm praying that we see something. I'm almost 7 weeks so I know seeing the heartbeat is going to be hard - but I'm praying it's there.

This happened to one of my friends when she was 7-8 weeks-the baby was absolutely FINE, she jusy had to go on bed rest until the bleeding stopped.

Have you been doing too much lately...I can't imagine what its like with 2 boys running around....but please try and get some rest, put your feet up for a while
