Re: I think I'm losing the baby
I had two experiences while I was pregnant where I freaked out because I started bleeding like the start of a period!! As it turned out, it was FINE and due to a blood clot that didn't effect me or the baby. I was just told to not BD until a week after not seeing blood.
As you might already know, I did have a loss in the 2nd tri, but the bleeding was COMPLETELY UNRELATED! I hope this is just normal pregnancy bleeding for you!!

Re: I think I'm losing the baby
I'm glad your doctor can fit you on today so you know what is going on and hopefully find out all is ok. I didn't have bleeding but heard a lot about people having tons of red bleeding and it being a subchorionic hematoma and the baby being just fine. I hope something similar is the case for you.

I just heard back from my doctor. I love her. She is getting me into the office for a 1 o'clock sono. I'm praying that we see something. I'm almost 7 weeks so I know seeing the heartbeat is going to be hard - but I'm praying it's there.
Thanks everyone.
You could definitely see a heartbeat at 7wks! I saw one at 6wks! Good luck!

Re: I think I'm losing the baby
I bled at almost 9 weeks with both my kids. It was very heavy. Totally freaked me out. My doctor said that it's just old blood your body has to get rid of. that everything is ok with your LO.

Oh, Diana.... I'm so sorry you are having this scare. I hope everything is perfectly fine! You should definitely see a heartbeat at 7 weeks. Good luck at doctor. I will be praying for you.

Re: I think I'm losing the baby
Lots of for you!
I had a friend who had a TON of bleeding and she was convinced there was no way she wasn't miscarrying. It wound up being a subchronic hematoma that bled out, and she wound up having a healthy pregnancy.
Good luck!

thinking of you
while i haven't personally experienced bleeding, i have 3 friends that did. none of them had cramping, just bleeding - and all of them have healthy babies right now.

Re: I think I'm losing the baby
So glad your Dr is getting you in today. My SIL bled throughout her pregnancy and while my niece was born a few weeks early, she was born healthy and will turn 7 in June
Hoping you hear some reassuring news today

Re: I think I'm losing the baby
first of all tons of for you...
i did experience bleeding around 8 or 9 weeks, very heavy bleeding, where i absolutely thought i was losing the baby, i was crampy and my back hurt also.
it turned out that i had 2 subchorionic hematomas (blood clots) and have been treated for it.
try to rest as much as you can today. i hope that everything turns out ok and your doctor rocks for getting you in there today.... & for you!!

Re: Changing the subject to think positive --- bleeding in first tri
I was full blown bleeding when i was 7 weeks and 5 days. I was teriffied!!! I didnt have any cramps or pain just sudden bleeding (gushing) It turned out that I had developed a blood clot in my uterus in front of the babies, very close tot he cervix and it started draining. I ended up bleeding for about a week and then after that spotting on and off till the clot was gone. I will pray that it is something similar for u!!!
I KNOW its very hard when u see that much blood while pregnant but please try to stay positive and keep us posted

OMG lots of
ETA: I bleed/cramped with both pregnancies and it turned out to be very low progesterine. With my DS I bled also b/c their was a little cyst outside the sac (harmless to the fetus). Hang in there!! Glad you were able to get an appt!
