8 weeks and no weight gain at all

should I be concerned? I don't have an appetite, but I eat ok. Saw this morning that I haven't gained an ounce

I wouldn't be too concerned, I'm 15 weeks and have only gained 2lbs. My doctor doesn't seem to be worried.

Unless you are seriously underweight, don't worry about it! Enjoy it while you can :)

I lost about 15 pounds first tri from being sick. My dr explained to me that the baby will take from you what it needs, so the only worry is your own energy levels. Just make sure you are eating fruits, veggies and taking your vitamins.

i lost 2lbs in the first tri. i ended up gaining 33lbs and i delivered early at 33w so who knows how much i wouldve gained if my baby weighed more than 3lbs 8oz!! don't worry - it will absolutely even out and catch up in the second and third tri. enjoy it while it lasts!!

I think it's fine. I'm 13 weeks and haven't gained more than a pound. My doctor didn't say anything about it.

By 8 weeks I had lost weight from morning sickness. Didn't gain anything above my pre-pregnancy weight until the second trimster. Now at 20 weeks I'm up about 10 lbs, it caught up quick! Don't sweat it, it's fine.

Not at all. I lost weight in the beginning. Don't worry, you WILL gain and you will be wishing for these days

Nothing to worry about. I lost weight in my first tri and gained it in my second. Baby will get his/her nutrients from your body so just make sure you're taking your prenatals and drinking plenty of water.

I didn't gain a pound until almost 24 weeks its ok!

If you go by the reccomend guidlines, you shoud gain between 0 and 5 lbs only in the first tri.

I wouldn't worry about it. It's still so early. I am 16 weeks and so far I only gained 1lb.

Im 11 weeks and Ive lost 7lbs. My Dr. said its normal in the 1st tri to lose weight especially if you have MS. Feel better

During my first pregnancy I lost 12 lbs in the first trimester!

This pregnancy I am at 15 weeks and have only gained about 3.5 lbs.

I wouldn't worry about it too much! Mention it to your dr if you are concerned, but i am sure it is OK!

I wouldn't be concerned. I didn't start to really gain weight until between 15-20 weeks.

I'm 35 weeks and between eating right in the beginning and watching what I am eating in the third tri due to Gestational Diabetes, I've only gained 7 pounds so far.

thanks ladies, I feel better. I remember I didn't gain much with my first either , but I did gain some, maybe 2-3 lbs the first trimester.
I don't really have MS , just get nausea once in a while, but not bad. I am taking my prenatal, eating lots of fruit and drink fluids, and I do get hungry around dinner time.

I hadn't gained weight at that point either with the last 2 DC's. Your metabolism is speeding up, so you are burning more. Don't worry, you'll gain weight soon enough.

I didn't gain anything for a while either. Now at 23 weeks, i'm only up 7 lbs.

I too am 8 weeks and so far am down a pound. Am not worried.

I didn't gain until the 3rd tri last PG (and haven't gained at 16 weeks this one). Both times started at average weight. I think it's more unusual to gain a lot in the first tri.

Don't be concerned. I didn't gain anything until 17 weeks. In fact, I lost 6 lbs in the first trimester from being sick.
My DD ended up weighing 9.6, so clearly she was well-nourished.

I'm so jealous! I gained a ton Like the other ladies said, it's not abnormal not to gain much in the first trimester tho!

at my 13w4d appointment the nurse weighed me and I had only gained 2.5 lbs. I wouldn't stress!
