I am leaning more towards NO..I really don't feel comfortable, but a part of me wants me to try as does DH. He knows that its my decision, but hopefully I will decide by the time this baby pops out!

See, if it were me, this would be my answer, because i am incredibly obnoxious to overly nosy people-I would love to BF but I am worried that it might interfere with my crack smoking.

Can you tell I hate being asked personal things by strangers?

i'm hoping to for a short while in the beginning and then pump and use formula. I want DH to have the bonding experience with Goober so bf and bottles seems to be the plan for us.

I bf'ed dd for about 3 months, while supplementing.

I EBF'ed DS for 6 months.

I was hoping to make it to a year with this baby. But recently, I must admit I have no desire to BF. My daughter took in more formula than BM and she was always just as healthy, if not HEALTHIER than my son.

I just dont feel like dealing with the leaking, swelling, engorgement, not to mention clogged ducts and mastisis.

I brought it up to DH recently and he is fine with feeding formula (which I though he would be against since BF'ing is cheaper ) So now I find myself questioning what to do - be happy and formula feed or give in to my guilt and BF?

I didn't BF my 1st DD and I will not be BFing this time around either. I am very uncomfortable with my body, esp my chest, and I know it just wouldn't work for us. My 1st DD was FF and she is just fine.

ETA: Another reason I am not doing it is b/c of my work situation. We work in a house that was converted into an office. We have 2 single bathrooms for 50 people....so pumping in the bathroom would not work. We also only have 2 offices that have locks on the doors. One is the owner's office and the other had 3 employees in it. I would have to kick either the owner or 3 employees out of their offices to pump. We also have to park on the street or in public parking 2 blocks away so pumping my car wouldn't work either. It's just not feasible in my case.

I will not be BFing - it's not for me.

Luckily, the majority of people I know didn't do it either so I'm not hearing any opinions on it for the most part.

DS didn't latch so I pumped for 3.5 mnths, it was a PITA adn I never could pump enough. Safe to say I'm never doing that again being a slave to that machine!!! I MAY try to BF in the hospital but if the kid doesn't latch I'm not pumping. I don't even think i want to try bf. DH is trying to make me feel bad about it, plus we got a lot of pressure from his parents last time to BF. so I have to think of some nasty things to say to people so I can blame the hormones!

STRAIGHT to the bottle for this litte one.. was a nightmare with my DD and honestly, it just wasn't for me...

I am still not sure...I BF my DS for 2 weeks and did enjoy it but then got mastitis...it was HORRENDOUS and i am so nervous to go through that again. Also this time around i'll have a 2.8 yr old and I am going back to work around 8 weeks after DD is born, so I am thinking it may be easier to just skip it altogether

I had no intentions to breastfeed my first, nor my second and my intentions are still the same for #3. I was never on the fence about it and I never once felt guilty about it, but I was also never questioned on my choice. Sure people asked me, but that's where it ended. Nobody ever tried to tell me otherwise.

I wasn't breastfed, nor was my husband and we turned out ok.

Besides, my diet sucks...it's in my children's best interest that they're formula fed.

I was also on the fence, but I am going to at least give it a try. If it works then fine, if not then that is ok too.

I can't believe that I am on the fence again. After DD I swore I would not even think about breastfeeding #2. It was not for me at all and I had a horrible experience. Here I am pregnant with # 2 and thinking about possibly trying again. I will most likely not do it though.

I'm not attempting it at all. I have no desire to breastfeed. I hadn't planned on doing it with DD # 1 either and it never became an issue because my milk never came in.

I am totally on the fence about it, I'm so uncomfortable with the thought, not to mention with the idea of nurses and LCs grabbing my boob etc, I have SUCH body issues. That said I would love to have such a bonding experience with my so I think I'm going to try it in the hospital and then decide.


BUT I want to say to everyone, I've always felt like I would be judged if I didn't, its so nice to know I'm not alone!!

with DD my supply was barely there and her latch was terrible. I pumped my little bit and mixed it into formula. I may give it a try with this DC, but if it doesn't work easily I won't go crazy over it. The hormones after birth can be wicked and I also have to take care of DD...FF might be the best for our family. I don't think BF babies are any happier, healthier, or smarter.

I have absolutely no interest in bf'ing. It's just not for me and my family - philosophically or practically. DD has been dependent on me for everything thus far and that's the nature of pregnancy, but I'm not comfortable with that going forward and I do want my body back. I want to be able to go back to work or to run an errand or go to the gym or have a drink and not have to schedule things like that around pumping and feedings. I also really want DH to be able to feed her - I think it's incredibly important that he be able to have that kind of participation and bonding with his daughter. Also, we were both formula fed and we're fine - both of us were totally healthy kids. BF''ing is just not me and so I feel no desire to make an attempt. I respect the people who do choose to do it, but it is a personal choice and I choose formula and much like I respect other people's choices, they should respect mine.

Just curious what you girls who are convinced you are not doing it, would do if your breast were leaking months before birth.

Mine started around 22 weeks and wont stop, leaking more even. And while I always thought I would definitely try it, I feel now like well I guess I have to. The choice I feel is just taken away from me.

What would you feel/do?

I am not BFing and I never had any intention of doing it. While I think its a beautiful thing, personally its just not for me.

I never had a desire to BF.

Then I had my DD 7 weeks early. While I was not able to BF, I asked the nurse for a pump and was able to pump for a few weeks.

Do I think it made a huge difference in her overrall development? No, but I feel like it was something I could do to help her and nothing was going to stop me from giving her all she could get.

IDK if I will BF this one. I may try, but will not beat myself up if it doesn't work. And if I run into the same situation as I had with DD, I will pump right away.
