Re: Any truth to the old wives tale about hair and heartburn?
My heartburn was horrendous I would drink Mylanta from the bottle and take Tums at least every hour! If it were true I would have given birth to a baby cub!! DS was a baldie!!

Re: Any truth to the old wives tale about hair and heartburn?
I had HORRIBLE heartburn....and wound up with a baldie!!!
Watch out for the tums, I used to pop them like candy & wound up getting kidney stones---TOO much calcium in my diet!

Re: Any truth to the old wives tale about hair and heartburn?
I had a lot of heartburn with DD and at 9.5 months her hair is just starting to grow in. So I don't think their is any truth to it.

Re: Any truth to the old wives tale about hair and heartburn?
I hardly had any heartburn and DS was born with just an itty bit of hair ...hardly any really
But I think this thread is proving that there is no rhyme or reason to this one

Re: Any truth to the old wives tale about hair and heartburn?
When I was pregnant, I read in some magazine that this is one of the only old wive's tales that has some merit to it--for whatever reason, ,babies born to mothers who have heartburn have more hair.
That said, I had some heartburn, not terrible. DS was born with a good patch of hair on the back of his head, but very little on the top.

Re: Any truth to the old wives tale about hair and heartburn?
I had heartburn bad toward the end. DS was bald, therefore, I do not believe in the theory.

No truth in it for me. DS was pretty bald and the heartburn was horrible.
Same here.
Me too - a little hair - but not much.

I had bad heartburn with DD and she had lots of hair.
I had it with DS also, but not quite as bad, and he had hair but not much.
