Anyone try peanut butter/peanuts at a young age?
I know that most peoples peds have them wait but recently the AAP said its ok to give at 6 months without prior family allergies so i was wondering if anyone tried giving it to their DC that young? Also not sure how you would give them peanut butter that young- maybe mixed in a little with some other food - otherwise its too tacky

Older DS had a piece of my toast with peanut butter at 9mos and was fine. Ped wasn't happy, but DS certainly enjoyed PB from that point forward!

Well my MIL was feeding DS Honey Nut Cheerios when he first started eating table food not thinking anything of it. I know HNC is not the same thing... either way, he survived. But we're still waiting to officially give him nuts and peanut butter until he's 18 months.
