Re: anyones Child wear REALLY small size for their age?
i find with dd she is in all sizes..still fits in 12 mths and then sometimes she is in 24 mths depending on the brand..she is tall and skinny so for length i need bigger but then i feel bad that its always sagging on her

Re: anyones Child wear REALLY small size for their age?
Landon is 3 months and in 6-9 months in some brands. But he is huge. I would not worry so much about the age labels on clothes. You should but what fits him best. Some of the clothes are sized by weight which is more accurate IMO then the ones sized by age. Not all children fit into the size for their age Landon and Noah are perfect examples.

Re: anyones Child wear REALLY small size for their age?
Yep, On the plus side I always got LOTS of use out of DSs clothes!
He just turned three the other day and this summer he wore 18 month shorts and 24 m or 2T shirts. For the fall he will be in 2T pants and they are even a little big on his waist.
ETA: He is 3 - weighs 30 lbs and is 36 in

I know - I thought Jack was big - at 12 months he was 27lbs and in 2T. I am hoping to get a few more months out of his 2T clothes before having to put him in 3T. Momma won't be a SAHM for much longer if he moves into 3T
My BFF's son just turned 9 months and is in 24 month clothes, I tease her all the time b/c Christopher is 7 months older and wears 12 or 18 months.
Oh and Diana, I dry everything too...on the regular cycle, maybe you have the super dryer

Maybe I do - because seriously my DH yells at me that I shrink everything. I tell him that he's just getting bigger Seriously though - he'll try on T-shirts that look like crop-tops and wants to kill me!

Well DD at 1 year was 20 lbs 1 oz and 29 inches. For the most part her 12 month clothing are still quite big. I have no idea what size to buy her for the winter 12 or 18 months? At 12 months some of her 3-6 jeans still fit. Her 9 month jeans are still big on her or fit her now. A lot of what size she wears 9 or 12 month depends on the brand. She received some gymboree outfits on her bday and they are 12-18 months and are HUGE on her. Her guess skirts are still huge as well without a belt they don't stay on. Tops she is more true to size so 12 months fits great. It is the waist and the length on the pants that are the issue.
How is the length of Noah? Is it just that they are lose? If so you could temp take them in or use a belt.
I swear, our girls are soooo similar. I could have written everything above, word for word!!!!!! Including the Gymboree part-- their dresses are HUGE on her.

I get the same reaction, but the opposite...
Wow - he's only 16 mts? (or almost 17 mts) - he is soooo big (someone called him a "beast" - they were trying to be funny, but t was stil a stranger calling my child a beast )
When my stepmom buys him clothes with her friends (all grandmothers of toddlers) they go, "What? 3T??? 4T??? My (Joe Shmo grandson) is 22 mts and still wears newborn (or whatever small size)"
I still can't believe your son wears 3t/4t My son was always on the bigger size and now at 2 years old, he is 34 pounds and wears 3T.
How much does your boy weigh?? Looking at his pics,,he doesn't look like a "beast" for a 16 month old (not calling him that,,just referring to what you posted)
29 lbs!!! And 32 inches!!!! But he has a tummy!

DS is almost that and he wears 18 months clothing with his shirts. He will wear 2T tops soon.
DS is now wearing a smaller size shorts than his age. He is kind of in between sizes for his pants. He is not equal on top and bottom.

Re: anyones Child wear REALLY small size for their age?
Dee is 3 1/2 and still waist wise so it was perfect for the summer wears 24 month shorts. 3T shorts are huge on her and fall down. I have found several jeans at Kohls bands inside that let you tighten the waist with elastic or buttons. That is how I get her to fit 3t jeans.
