Re: breastfeeding and bottles
I plan to breastfeed and I am getting the Born Free bottles. They do not have BPA.

Re: breastfeeding and bottles
I breastfed with DD and used the playtex drop ins when I needed a bottle. She had no problem at all with them. I am planning on doing the same with this baby as well.

Re: breastfeeding and bottles
I want to mostly pump and occasinally breat feed at night, at least that is my plan right now. I got Dr. Brown's bottle and Avent bottles, but they both have BPA and I haven;'t decided yet if I should switch

Honestly, I think there is a lot of conflicting information out there. A lactation consultant told us (at the Ultimate Baby Shower) that BFing women should pump so that the father can participate in feeding the child. She made a point of saying this.
It makes me wonder where the idea of "nipple confusion" comes from. I think some subscribe to it and others don't. Though I don't have numbers, I am willing to bet that a significant amount of women feed from the breast as well as from a bottle. There are plenty of infants in day care who get bottles of breast milk during the day and feed from the breast at home.
I don't know about 'nipple confusion' but I do have a friend who's baby stopped nursing and just drank from a bottle once she introduced the bottle at 8 weeks.

I got two gift sets I registerd for...Dr. Brown's and Playtex drop ins. I hear good things about both and soon after I will know which one my baby prefers. I plan on doing both too so Best of luck BFing and nursing

I also know of someone who this happened to. She pumped for a while, but it was too much work and she ended up FFing.
Some babies will also develop a preference for the bottle and will stop BFing somewhere between 8 and 12 months. When I started BFing, I planned on doing it for at least a year, so I didn't want to take any chances that my DS would develop a preference for the bottle over the breast.
