BTDT - Sharing Hospital rooms and curtains
When you had a roomate at the hospital did you always keep your curtains closed?
I just realized I only had it closed when I went to pump, otherwise neither of us had ours closed..
wondering what the norm was

Yes, absolutely closed all the time. I don't want to look at some stranger hanging out in a hospital gown

When I gave birth to my first, I totally bonded with my roommate, so we only closed the curtain when we were feeding or sometimes when sleeping. With my second, I only had a roommate for a few hours on my last day and the curtain stayed closed.

Both times I never had it closed completely. I am way too claustraphobic for that!

Closed. But my first roomate spoke to me thru the curtain. Thought I was in prison. lol!

Closed 100% of the time. I had the worst roommate - I literally slept for maybe 2 hours total in the hospital. I was desperate to get out of that hell! I will never ever, ever give birth in a hospital that doesn't have private rooms.

Closed. I was sharing with a woman who had a girlfriend and was constantly there. Nothing against gay people at all but always wondered how they made the baby LOL.

Half closed - I was by the door so it was closed on the roommate side but open to the doorway.
