We had the Graco comfortsport in both our cars at first. The straps were a pain in my a$$ from the beginning, but DH didn't seem to mind. We figured it was because of my medical problems after birth. I finally gave up and got the Evenflo triumph AND LOVE IT!!!!! DH fell in love with it too and ended up getting it about 6 months later.
You are welcome to try out either one when the time comes. We kept one comfortsport, in case of emergency, and put it in the attic. The other we donated. By the time you need it, we will probably be moving on from the triiumph, so you can try that one out too. Actually, I can show you the triumph on Sunday if you want to see the difference. LOVE IT!
BTW: Both of these carseats were highly recommended in safety and price, especially for smaller cars. Britax was not recommended for our cars. There is some website out there that tells you what seats actually fit into what car. Can't remember what it was though. Now I'm rambling! 
Kelly's right about the straps on the Comfortsport. DH hates, hates, hates, that carseat, but not enough to go buy a different carseat!!! I've used the Evenflo Triumph (my sister has this one)and the ease of use is just unbelievable.
But for a side-by-side comparison, you can look at the one in Kelly's car, and then the one in my car.

we have the Graco My Ride 65 and its great. Our township that installed it for us said its a great model and comprable to the more expensive Britax versions.
You wont need the convertible seat until later on so make sure you register for an infant seat as well. (We have the Chicco Cortina Travel System with stroller and snap in seat).

We have a Britax Roundabout 50, 55 and Marathon 70 (we needed 3).
I love the Marathon - so easy to adjust the straps and all. It fits nicely in my car, a Subaru Forester, and in ILs Jeep Grand Cherokee (they have the Roundabout 55 in there currently since they don't use it as much).
