Cereal Question for Daycare Moms
I'm sending DS to daycare for the first time this week and I'm not sure how to send his cereal.
I always make it right before he is ready to eat. Should I send it already mixed with milk or formula? Do I send it with the liquid in a separate container for mixing?
If I send it mixed in a lunch bag with an icepack how long is it good for?
So many things I never though of before and now I'm panicking last minute!

Re: Cereal Question for Daycare Moms
Ryan is starting 9/15 so I dropped by my center Friday to visit and asked these questions. I noticed there were boxes of cereal in everyone's cubby. They said they would mix it. So, I plan to leave a box of cereal there and then as far as the BM used to mix with it, I'll send in an ounce in one of those small medela containers (the ones used to collect when DC was itsy bitsy and they only hold 3 oz I believe). I'll leave it in the cooler that goes in the fridge with his bottles. HTH Good luck this week

I always ask the teachers what they prefer.

Re: Cereal Question for Daycare Moms
I send the cereal measured out in a bowl with lid and then send in one of her older small bottles with the correct amount of formula. This way they can heat the formula in the bottle before mixing. DD only likes her food heated.

I used to send it in dry - premeasured in a container. I would send a premade bottle of formula (about an ounce) for them to mix it with.

Re: Cereal Question for Daycare Moms
I bring it in mixed and put it in the fridge when I get there. Less things for me to bring!

Re: Cereal Question for Daycare Moms
I just send in the box of cereal and they mix it for me.
