Daycare Moms - spitting up question.
My DD spits up pretty frequently. We switched her to AR and it has gotten better. About once or twice a week, so pretty much spits up a lot almost in a projectile fashion. It looks like her whole bottle comes up. I asked the doctor about it and he said that its normal. Some kids spit up more than others.
Today I get a call from daycare and she did it there. Actually I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner. They told me that they are going to watch her temperature and that if she spits up like that again, I would have to pick her up. They also said that her teacher had to go home and change her shirt And of course, I am out of town traveling for work.
I explained to her that she spits up, she is not sick. Sometimes she projectile spits up. How else do I convey this point? Should I get a note from the doctor saying it's normal?
As far as her teacher gong home o change her shirt, of course I feel bad but they work with infants, don't they have a change of clothes there I am so annoyed at that comment.
Any advice ?
When DH picked her up tonight, there was no mention of the spitting up episode and it wasn't on her daily sheet.

I would get a note from the dr just for your own sanity. they are going to be constantly calling you about this. BTW, my cousin projectile spit up after every bottle. Eventually they just grow out of it.

when I toured tutor time (haven't enrolled yet), I asked the director about it because ds is a BIG spitter.....
she said it wasn't a big deal, if he's not sick.....
sorry you have to deal with this...good luck!!

Re: Daycare Moms - spitting up question.
I'm a little surprised she didn't have extra clothes since she works around babies. Surely your DD can't be the only baby that has spit up on the teacher! The teachers at my DD's daycare wear scrubs and they have a w/d so I guess if they get super dirty, they just change into a new pair and wash the old.
I would also get a note from the doctor that says she has no contagious illlness and is allowed to be in a daycare setting
