costs of exterminators? for carpenter ants?

For those that have contracts with exterminators, do you mind sharing your annual cost? Also, if you have a referral that would be great too :)

I had a company over today and I thought their quote was really high! Not sure what the norm is though.

Also, does anyone here treat for carpenter ants? What is the process? Spraying outdoors? Anything indoors?

I don't have a contract, but we just paid $300 for a treatment that includes free complimentary follow up visits if you are still having problems. If I wanted to do a contract it would be $80 a month.

We only have the problem in the spring and fall, so paying for the 2 visits per year makes more sense for us. He puts granules outside around the home and then he has some gel stuff that he puts inside the house that you can't see.

that sounds good - I don't need a ton of treatments, just really outdoor spraying and I'm too nervous about chemicals for myself or DH to do it

But I figured with these companies most make you get into annual contracts.

Can you give me the info on who you use?

Can you FM the name of the company you used as well. We just had 2 quotes (for treatment and annual contracts) and they were OUTRAGEOUS!!!!
