Re: Did you give your parents a hard time when you were a teenager? of teenager were you
I was a good kid in the sense that I did well in school, I never cut school or even a class in school. I was always home by my curfew etc. HOWEVER, I was a very fresh, mouthy kid.

i was a NIGHTMARE. An absolute nightmare. In all seriousness, I wouldve shipped my @ss off to reform school if I had been them.
I was the angel
true, i was the grungy dirtbag type, smoking all kinds of things, skipping out, mouthing off to anyone and everyone, my sister (dperotti) was literally captain of the cheerleading squad.

My parents were 'done' by the time I was a teen....I had no cerfew, I could get away with murder... LOL...I was the 5th, and the 'accident'...need I say more?? LOL. but all in all b/c they were pretty laxed with the rules, I didn't really need to brake them often LOL. The only ONE bad thing I did, was lie to them about going to another state to meet someone...said I was going with a bunch of friends...even had my friends come talk to my parents LMAO... and yet I still was going myself. HAHAHA. I still can't believe I did that... but I was young and dumb I guess you can say HAHA. My Mom found out when one of my friends that was supposidly with me was at a traffic light next to her HAHAHAHA.
That's funny.
Trusting strangers was one thing I did all the time. I'm lucky nothing bad ever happened to me.

Re: Did you give your parents a hard time when you were a teenager? of teenager were you
I partied pretty hard and started young (first kegger when I was 12). My parents didn't really know all the things I did, even tho they were very involved parents, especially with my education and sports. I was caught reeeeaally black out wasted twice in HS but I usually didn't get caught...or lied my out of things. I threw parties all the time when they were out of town. We all thought we were hot ishhh
I always managed straight A's though, even tho I'd skip class to party (mostly junior/senior year). My teachers liked me & I really wasn't a "bad" kid
Anyway, got into a good school, got my B.S. and MSEd. within 5 years of graduating HS. and I'm settled in my career.

Aaaaaaand people are shocked when I tell them we did not get along in HS! LOL Although you ALWAYS stood up for me, ALWAYS. . .especially when you'd chase my boyfriends down the street for hurting me.
& I skipped school. . .& drank sometimes!

Yes. My mother calls the ages between 12-14 my "dark years." She said some not nice things about what I was like as a teenager.
I was relatively a goody two-shoes though. I didn't like to get into trouble. But I did push my parents' buttons a lot.

Broke the rules. Probably not more than the average slightly rebellious teenager, but I ALWAYS got caught
ETA: I still did pretty well in school, in half accelerated classes, did good on all my AP exams, etc.

Re: Did you give your parents a hard time when you were a teenager? of teenager were you
Depends who you ask my halo was held up by my horns.... I was from the outside view an all around good girl...I went to school, got amazing grades, was on kickline, and in two or three clubs, and then the night time would come and I would sneak out of my house meet up with my friends and go to raves in the city. I would tell my grandmother I was sleeping at a friends house she would tell her too, and we would sneak out of her house, catch a train and be in the city until 7 the next mornng when we would catch a train back and then strip down to the bathing suits under our clothes and pretend to be laying in the sun by the time her mother woke up. Also the funny part of this story is neither my brother or I knew we snuck out like this, until one night I heard about a concert of a new band that was insanely cheap and at this no name place and I was sneaking out of my window and as I hit the ground something ran hard into me knocking me and him over, turns out we were headed to the same concert which turned out to be LINKIN PARK!!!!

Re: Did you give your parents a hard time when you were a teenager? of teenager were you
I was a pretty good kid - did well in school, had pretty good friends, never skipped school, etc. I did have a BF my parents hate in HS, but the relationship was short and they were happy about it.
I did have kind of smart azz mouth that got me in trouble occasionally and I ws stubborn as well. But for the most part not too bad.

Re: Did you give your parents a hard time when you were a teenager? of teenager were you
I was vicious and mean. I would scream at my parents, throw myself on the floor, wish death on them - I was disgusting.
But I would go to school every day, get ridiculously high grades in the hardest classes, go to church every Sunday, hang out with my family on the weekends, work all week.
But the minute my parents told me I couldn't do something - I turned evil.
I snuck around a lot, they trusted my friends so as long as I said I was with them it was okay. But, I had a few "experimental" years that I came out of somewhat okay.

Re: Did you give your parents a hard time when you were a teenager? of teenager were you
Rebel, rebel. Partied, smoked different substances, drank, dropped acid.
But I pulled good grades.
And my mom helped me make a fake ID so I could see my friends bands at CBGB. You had to be 16 to get in, but I was frequenting it at 13/14.
My parents had me really, really young...so I had a decent amount of freedom, so long as I didn't eff up. If I did, there was he!! to pay.

I was fresh....and a PITA from 9-12 grade.
but I got good grades, came home on time (well I "slept over my friends houses a lot" ).
I drove them a little nuts but I got into a good college, did well in college, got my masters, etc. so while I think they would have preferred if I didn;t give them lip...they figure I turned out okay
i could have written this word for word. except: change "did well in college" to "did okay in college" change "masters" to "law degree"
and we're good! i was the queen of giving lip. still am.

I had quite a mouth on me. Back-talking was my forte. Add that to an attitude the size of Texas, and I was a triple threat. But I always obeyed their rules, so I don't think I was that bad.

Re: Did you give your parents a hard time when you were a teenager? of teenager were you
I was pretty good, I had other siblings to take care of being the hellraisers. I did well in school and didn't do too many awful things.
It wasn't until I got to college that I started to get the mouth and started smoking some weed. I smoked a little in HS, but college I became a bit of a pothead. After that phase passed I went back to my normal, mostly respectful, self.

Re: Did you give your parents a hard time when you were a teenager? of teenager were you
My mother was a saint for putting up with my behavior. I was in general a good kid, got good grades, drank and experimented a bit but was never stupid about it ... but the attitude I gave my mother! I don't know why she put up with me. I was an a-hole to her!

I was the rebelling type- my parents gave me the boot at 19. But, it was probably for the best, we get along great now.

I was the good child for the most part. Good student, but I did drink occasionally at 17. Partying started in college but even then i wasn't driving my parents nuts all the time. Then again I did a lot more that they knew/know

Re: Did you give your parents a hard time when you were a teenager? of teenager were you
I was a good kid. So was my brother. We are 2 1/2 years apart so we always hung out with the same crowd..which was good for me because my parents found comfort in that. Little did they know that we just did bad things...together! Not THAT bad but things they wouldn't be thrilled about back then. My brother and I always followed the rules though. For the most part, my parents knew where we were and we were always home on time. As long as we did as we were told, my parents would trust us and had no reason to be strict.
