Nope, it was just my mom and sisters. MIL came when my dress came in and I went to go see MY dress (like the real one, not the sample) for the first time.

Yes I did. My DH is an only child so my MIL would never get to go dress shopping with anyone so I invited her.
The downside was my MIL told my DH about my dress. He was buying me a necklace as a wedding present and she let it slip that my dress was strapless (which I wanted to be a big surpirse b/c I knew he would never guess that I would pick out that kind of dress).

I did not ask her to come to anything to do with my wedding dress. The only people that saw it were my mom, dad, and BM's. Only my mom and BM's came with me dress shopping.

What you could do is mention this to your brother so he can feel out the bride to see if she would invite your mom- which would be really nice.
I agree with this.
I did invite MIL to look at a few dresses I already liked to get her opinion - I think one was the one I ultimately chose. I just love her and wanted to make her feel included.
My mother had passed away almost 2 years before. I'm not sure how it would have been if she'd been alive, but I think I would have probably wanted at least one time, to have both of them with me.

Yes, dh is an only child and this was her only shot @ being included in any aspect of wedding planning. It was the right thing to do.
My sil did not invite my mom. She and my brother kept my parents out of their wedding planning.

I did invite her to check out the dress that I was planning n putting a down payment on. I wanted her to feel included but I quickly learned my lesson when she told me she "hated it"

ummmmm kinda....I invited her to the 1st place we went. Then the 2nd time it was just going to be my step mother and I but she invited herself  and I just happened to say yes to the dress on that shopping trip. In the long run I'm very happy she came.

No way. We don't have that kind of relationship and the less people I had with me while dress shopping, the better. I just showed her a picture of my dress after I picked it out.

My MIL went to every boutique with me from Virginia to New York.

no... this was something special and I wanted only my mom to be there with me. I did invite MIL (and sister, nieces and best friend) to come to my first fitting with me tho, since she only has sons, i thought that would be nice for her to get to do and be included in.

My MIL came dress shopping with me. She actually picked out a gorgeous dress for me to try on, too. I was thisclose to getting it! But wound up going with my original.

my dh hasn't had parents in decades so his sister who raised him was invited. if he had a mother i would of invited her for at least to show her out of respect.

Not the actual picking of the dress, because that was reserved for me, my sister & my mom ONLY. Let it be known that I am extremely close with my MIL (we even work in the same office), but when it came to searching for "the dress" I know the way I am when I am shopping & I rather not have any witnesses. 
I had every intention of having MIL at a dress fitting after I picked my dress, but it just never worked out.
My fittings where usually right after work & she works later then I do & the fitting I had on a Saturday, she couldn't make.
I did show her a picture of me in the dress prior to the wedding but to be honest she didn't seem to care that much. Which sort of hurt my feelings so instead of being disappointed I didn't push it any further.

No. I was actually with another LIWer (peabody) when I saw and fell in love with my dress! My mom did the wedding dress shopping w/ me other trips.

No. I would never do that. #1 I don't have that type of relationship with her. #2 I think that process is personal to each bride. I think if the bride really wanted your mom to be a part of it, she would have asked her already.
