We were originally going to TTC one year after getting married. We didnt want to wait to long as we wanted to be young parents. However, after we got married, I was told that I possibly had PCOS and that it would possibly be difficult and take a while to concieve (went to 2 different doctors, had bloodwork, sono, etc). So we decided to try right away figuring it would take a while. Nope, they were wrong, got prengant the 1st try, 3 months after we got married. My DS is a blessing and I really believe things happen for a reason and wouldnt trade it for anything. Who knows if we had waited, it would have taken a while and then i would have regretted not TTC right away. With my 2nd child, we waited till we both knew the timing was right and were lucky and got pregnant right away too. I had my DD right before I turned 30, so timing wise everything worked out well. I think I am done, but since I am still young, if we ever went for #3 atleast I'll be in my early to mid 30's.

I wanted them a little earlier, but it wasn't in the cards for me. I had my first 2 days after turning 31 and my second at 32. I wanted to be 27-28 when I had my first.

I am content at the ages I had DD - #1 was at 28 and #2 was at 31. I still feel so young - I am def one of the youngest moms at the pre-school and people LOVE to point that out! But I traveled alot before having kids, got to a decent place in my career, owned a home.... it was good timing.

I couldn't have them earlier. I had IF issues. I also married at 35. Had I married earlier, I would have started to try earlier. Having 2 children close to 40 for me was not ideal. I do not have a basis for comparison, but it has to be much easier having a child in one's twenties than in one's forties. And frankly, the worry that I had being over 35 having children was terrifying. Yeah I know women are having children later in life, but there are risks associated with age in terms of the health of the child as well as the mother. I had plenty. Try going into a pregnancy knowing that before any blood test that the chance of having a child with a chromosomal disorder was 1 in 50. Yup - 1 in 50. Things changed after blood tests but that was a huge risk to take.

I had DD and DS when I was a few days shy of 31, and with this baby I'll be 33.
I would have liked to be a younger mom, but I am ok with how it wound up.

Had DD a few months shy of 30. That was perfect financially, etc., but it took us awhile and some assistance to get pregnant - I would've liked to have had DD 9 months after we decided to TTC, but that's about it - and only because we want more and not too close together so an extra year would've helped that timeline some. Such is life.

I always wanted to be a young mom. Luckily I found the man of my dreams very young. I was 26 when I had dd. I want to have another before I'm 30 . If we have three 32 is my cut off. Dh is6 years older.

had my DS when I was 27, just a few weeks before I turned 28 had my twins at 30. it worked out perfect for us.

No, it was perfect timing for us. DS#1 at age 27 and the twins #2 and #3 at age 29.

I had DD when I was 27. I wish we had babies earlier, just b/c I want like 20 of them now.

I had my kids at 34 after 3.5 yrs of trying so yes, I would have liked to have children earlier. BUT then I wouldn't have had the o0nes I have so NO!

31 and 33 were perfect...not a second sooner would have been OK for me.

#3 will be 37 and at first I was nervous about age (I'm tired!), but DH and I thought about how perfect it will be to retire when the youngest graduates college - it will be like we are graduating too!

I said i wanted to have our first by 30 and I got pregnant right before my 30th bday and was 30 when i had DS. DC #2..well..i dont know how long that will be. Certainly not ready for another and i just turned 32.

I was the last of most of my friends to have a kid.
