Does/did your newborn drink same amount at middle of night feedings as day time?

I'm giving DS, one month, bm, pumped pm, and formula. He falls asleep at the breast and bottle often, and at night, I don't know how persistant I should be at waking him to finish the 4 ounces he'd normally drink during the day (if giving bottle. If giving breast, how many minutes to try to push him to if he keeps falling asleep). If he falls soundly asleep, I want to put him back in his crib because sometimes he stays awake for an hour or even two after feeding in the middle of night. But I don't want him waking in another hour or less because he's still hungry.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I've been noticing my 6.5 week old nurses for about 15-20 minutes during the day feedings, but only 10 minutes at night.
