Re: Game of thrones
I watched the inside the episode with the producers and they were saying it's just dumb luck that he didn't die (or that anyone survives) in a battle like that. I mean I'm sure they couldn't LET him die for narrative purposes but I don't think he has any sort of protection.
What an amazing episode!! They were lining up the storylines to go bananas in this episode! Finally!! The battle scene was incredible- both actually! Though I'm confused why the dragons are suddenly so loyal. Are they not going to go around burning and eating kids now? Isn't that why they were locked up in the first place- being a danger to everyone around them including Dany? Whatever- I still loved seeing her hop up on Drogon all bad ass! She is super close to finally making it across the narrow sea and I'm super excited!!
Is next season the last season??

Dany and Asha-I'm calling some lesbian action between them. There was definitely some flirtation there. I loved how they made Ramsey die!!!! Great episode!

I don't know anything about growing dragons, but the way I was thinking is that they were children before (when killing kids and livestock) and they were punished. Now they're on their way to being adults and maybe they grew up to know a little more from right and wrong (not to cross Dany).

Fair enough. I guess the dragons being tamer now isn't the most far fetched part of this show.
ETA: I also was thinking Dany and Drogon kind of bonded in their travels.

exactly what i was thinking (because you know, we all can apply human logic to dragons )

They are super long but totally worth the read. But there's more books coming out but the show is actually past the books now. He takes forever to put them out.

Game of thrones
Can we talk about how FECKING AWESOME THAT EPISODE WAS!?!?!?!?!
Seriously, I can't even handle how this season just blew me away. The finales are never as good as episode 9 each year, and that finale was everything.
*******SPOILERS***************
Cersei is a crazy power hungry b!tch. I think Jaime is finally seeing what a depraved woman she is and I'm thinking he will become a Queenslayer soon.
So happy to finally have the official R+L=J theory confirmed. Now we will see how this plays out as only Bran knows for sure.
Arya is a ninja assassin - I did not expect to see her as the killer. I assumed that Jaime had sent someone to kill Walder Frey based on that conversation they had about Frey being useless.
Littlefinger makes me nervous and I'm worried for what he will do in the next season to get that iron throne.
Westeros isn't ready for Daenarys!!!!!

Can someone explain to me the theory behind Jon. Who is his mother? Was Ned his uncle?
Very confused over that.
The episode was great cannot wait until all the Stark's are together again.

Westeros isn't ready for Daenarys!!!!!
ALL of this!
I was like hooooooooooooly sh!t with Cersei- I can't believe she did all that to her son... her children were her everything and now she just... wow. I mean she killed EVERYONE. I fully expected Margaery at least to escape. But there's just no possible way. And then when Tommen walked away from the window my DH said he's going to kill himself and I said no way, he's too chicken. Then I ate my words.
I hate that they still refused to SAY R+L=J out loud even though I consider it confirmed. They had to whisper it. Quit playing games! I did love that Sansa rebuffed Littlefinger's advances. My my my has she grown up! And she was SO pleased for Jon. And Lyanna Mormont- what a little bad ass!!! I do think Littlefinger is going to go running to the other side though- anything to get himself on the Iron Throne.
And I can't believe that after all this time, all this build up that Dany is FINALLY on her way to Westeros- with armies, ships, dragons, allies! I CANNOT WAIT!
ETA: And I was wondering who would sit the Iron Throne now that the line of succession is broken. I was surprised to see Cersei strut up there, but I guess when you kill everyone who could stand against you, why not take the throne for yourself? Jaime isn't going to forgive this though. He's already had to kill one mad king- is he going to have to take care of his sister/lover now that she's gone all mad queen??
ETAA: Also, it was good to see them bring in the Dorne storyline and Arya's training put to use. They seemed a little pointless and boring at the time but now we're getting somewhere!

Game of thrones
I have to say, I didn't expect Tommen to jump like that! I felt bad for him. And it was just so... Quick, I don't know, really struck me.
Seeing the building burn and collapse was a little 9/11/01 for me. I do wish Margery had been able to escape.
The little girl was awesome. Lyanna Mormont kicks butt!
I was glad to see Arya get rid of walder frey
The king in the north thing worried me, as did littlefinger... Sansa knew something was up!
Cersei is so evil. She was so callous at Tommen's death. I guess she knew the prophecy would come true somehow and was expecting it but I didn't think she'd be so cold about it. The beginning of the episode was so different. The music really struck me and I thought something was def up.
I'm almost surprised that so many fan theories are coming true. It's awesome, and you hardly ever get so much satisfaction out of a season. I knew Ned stark wouldn't have betrayed catlyn.

Yes, Ned is his uncle. Lyanna was Ned's sister who was promised to Robert Baratheon. It was said that Rhaegar Targaryen kidnapped and raped her, though it's looking more like they were lovers. This would make Jon half Stark and half Targaryen. Jon is actually Daenarys's nephew then.

Re: Game of thrones
Cerci is AWESOME !!! She is soooooooooooo kick ass - You just have to admire her even if she's a crazy b*tch ........I was cheering her on - Tommen - no loss there, at least Geoffrey was a character you loved to hate, and played SO well .......Tommen, was just 'eh' all around.
Arya - awesome.
I LOVE that Melisandre FINALLY got confronted for what she did. I feel like HE needed that .......
Jon Snow - loving it........but not sure what Sansa's deal is. I don't trust her. And Littlefinger makes my skin crawl.
But holy Cerci .........AMAZING.
The fact that I now have to wait FOREVER is just depressing

I know! There and back again in the time it took to paint some sails? I wondered how the Greyjoys got over there so fast though, too. I guess time passes but they don't really mention it. Maybe their days/weeks are like their seasons. But the way Tyrion and Varys said goodbye you would've thought they'd be apart much longer.

Re: Game of thrones
I was having this a discussion about Jon today.
Being that he's a b@stard (mom & dad not married) wouldn't that make him a stark? Yes, made up of both blood lines - but because of no marriage, don't you take your mothers name?

I was reading online today and the fleet of ships had a bunch of different families included....showing that several weeks had passed.

Bastards don't get a family name- they get a b@stard name depending on the region they were born. I guess depending on which way you look at it he'd be either a Sand or a Snow.
ETA: There's also some speculation that Rhaegar and Lyanna were married in secret, making him a legit Targaryen.

I read somewhere that Lyanna and Rhaegar may have married (thus, she's his 2nd wife). Assuming that is possible in Westoros, then he may be truly be a Targaryan. Being that we only know about it because of Bran's worging, I'm not sure how they would prove it but something tells me that Littlefinger knows.

-Why was Lyanna in a tower though? And who's tower was it?
-Have they ever shown Rhaegar?
-Did anybody else found weird how Cersei reacted with her son's death? It looks like she was suffering as much as she did with her other ones?

Lyanna was in the tower hidden away by Rhaegar. Allegedly he kidnapped and raped her though it's looking more and more like they were lovers or possibly even married in secret. She had been promised to Robert Baratheon, who was very much in love with her, and he was searching for her. I'm assuming they were trying to hide her pregnancy from him. I mean he started a war to win her back, imagine what he would've done if he knew she was pregnant. He might've killed them all- her and the baby included. In fact, that's why Ned claimed Jon Snow as his own- to protect him from Robert and all others who wanted to wipe out the Targaryen line.
I actually have no idea who the tower belonged to though, just that it's in Dorne. Rhaegar was originally married to Elia Martell, who is from Dorne, so I guess that's why he was hanging out there? But he spurned her for Lyanna, so it's a little strange.
No, they've never shown Rhaegar.
And yeah, Cersei has zero f*cks left I guess? She heard that prophecy when she was younger and it was slowly coming true so I guess she just thought it was inevitable. I think she was right- every move she made only made one more part of prophecy come true- like Oedipus. I also think it's inevitable that Dany is the queen younger and more beautiful to "cast her down and take all she holds dear". And that Jaime will be the "valonqar" who kills Cersei. But that's all speculation.
