Yeah, well there are only two stores open around here to buy clothing Etc. Target and Walmart. Kids are growing, people need things other than food. So those two stores are going to be insanely crowded. Not everyone has weeks to wait for their stuff to order online.
Hence why they should open up other stores like now. To take the burden off the 2 stores that ARE open and hence less crowds. Ridiculous nonsense that makes zero sense
Or....shop online and lessen the burden on the people working in the stores
Yes we can do that and then why not just shut all the stores down permanently?. Who cares about people's jobs. I know this is hard to believe but there actually are people who want to get back to work. Who want to reopen their small business so they can survive. Crazy, I know.
What is with you and your dramatics?
If people NEED - as in, it's an absolute need versus a WANT - by all means.
I think society needs a lesson in needs versus wants.
Leave the stores open for the people who need it, find other places and things to do to "get back to normal," and get a life.
Why the need to be so nasty? Are we suppose to live the rest of our days only doing what we NEED to do? Never get enjoyment out of anything, ever again?
Because she likes to take any opportunity to go at me. Me personally. I have no idea who this person is but It's something personal with her. Creepy actually .
She's a constant sh!t stirrer and ALWAYS obnoxious. Just ignore her, she's not worth your energy.
I agree with the above, life isn't just about NEEDS. Life is about wants too and that is OK. Life is about enjoying everything that life has to offer from having a great meal out to taking a vacation to even getting a manicure. It's about engaging with others and being social. We're all allowed to want to enjoy our lives again.
Life is so short. I can't imagine wanting to stay like this for longer. I'm not living. I'm existing. Every day is the same. Imagine dying tomorrow and these were your last weeks and months? And the ironic part is where she said to "get a life" That's EXACTLY what we are trying to do.
Stop pretending to be a martyr. You're not.
Your complete lack of nuance and ability to have adult conversations about adult situation is pathetic. I'm not a creeper, I have no idea who you are. The only thing you put online is that you are unable to adapt. You are unable to cope. Clearly the long island bubble that you all live in affords you the privilege to be so completely unaware of how you present yourself. You cannot function because you can't go to Walmart? You can't adapt to not having the world revolve around you? You can't forge a new way of thinking during this time? Plenty of people are. Plenty of people are finding new ways to adapt and get the things they need. Life is not about malls and going shopping - you CAN order online, but you simply don't WANT to because your mental health is so at stake that you need to go to Walmart and Target? That's not your mental health. That's someone who is so fragile in their ability to function and cope with a changing landscape.
ETA: If these were my last months and days, I'd be super proud of what I've done and accomplished and the life I'm living. I'm really sorry you don't feel that way. I've found amazing ways to live a fulfilling and happy existence and give my kids great memories and experiences as best I can given this chaos. This won't last forever. It already isn't lasting forever. I'm sorry you're so shortsighted is all.
Funny how this entire response screams martyr. How wonderful that you've given your kids a lockdown full of rainbows and unicorns shitting skittles. You are the most judgemental, nasty person on this site.
No, you keep thinking I am some horrible person because so many of you can't see the forest for the trees. There are still ways to keep living. I am doing the best I can. I am letting my kids run me ragged but I am trying to survive. My husband works for a government contractor....to say that things are at a fever pitch is an understatement. I am not crafting with my children or making slime parties or doing any of that but we're trying to find other ways to exist happily. So what if we can't go to Walmart, they don't care. I am still working full time. This isn't a death sentence unless people look at this like it is. I can still go outside, I can still see people, I can still exist....just differently. Why is that so hard to understand? Or is everyone's version of life so wrapped up in material things and in this echo chamber of "our lives are over and not worth living if I can't go to Target?"
