Yeah, well there are only two stores open around here to buy clothing Etc. Target and Walmart. Kids are growing, people need things other than food. So those two stores are going to be insanely crowded. Not everyone has weeks to wait for their stuff to order online.
Hence why they should open up other stores like now.
To take the burden off the 2 stores that ARE open and hence less crowds.

Leave the stores open for the people who need it, find other places and things to do to "get back to normal," and get a life.

I agree with the above, life isn't just about NEEDS. Life is about wants too and that is OK. Life is about enjoying everything that life has to offer from having a great meal out to taking a vacation to even getting a manicure. It's about engaging with others and being social. We're all allowed to want to enjoy our lives again.
Life is so short. I can't imagine wanting to stay like this for longer. I'm not living. I'm existing. Every day is the same.

Your complete lack of nuance and ability to have adult conversations about adult situation is pathetic. I'm not a creeper, I have no idea who you are. The only thing you put online is that you are unable to adapt. You are unable to cope. Clearly the long island bubble that you all live in affords you the privilege to be so completely unaware of how you present yourself. You cannot function because you can't go to Walmart? You can't adapt to not having the world revolve around you? You can't forge a new way of thinking during this time? Plenty of people are. Plenty of people are finding new ways to adapt and get the things they need. Life is not about malls and going shopping - you CAN order online, but you simply don't WANT to because your mental health is so at stake that you need to go to Walmart and Target? That's not your mental health. That's someone who is so fragile in their ability to function and cope with a changing landscape.
ETA: If these were my last months and days, I'd be super proud of what I've done and accomplished and the life I'm living. I'm really sorry you don't feel that way. I've found amazing ways to live a fulfilling and happy existence and give my kids great memories and experiences as best I can given this chaos. This won't last forever. It already isn't lasting forever. I'm sorry you're so shortsighted is all.

I wonder if the tunes would be different if these hide from the world for another year people were not able to buy their instacart or Amazon fresh groceries that they so painstaking wipe down or if they couldn't afford to pay their mortgage on the house that they are so perfectly "sheltering " in while watching Netflix for months and having Zoom happy hours with the other Karens.
This is so true. So much about being able to stay home indefinitely reeks of privilege. The ability to order groceries that someone, more desperately in need of money than you are, risks their life to deliver to you; the ability to work from home, not a luxury afforded to most low wage workers; OR conversely, being a SAHM able to focus exclusively on your children’s schooling; having a yard, a playground, a swing set, a partner, companionship, etc. I could go on.

I’ve tried to leave you alone, but the other posters are right. People called you out for having a complete lack of empathy, and making ridiculous statements that came across as bitter. And, it’s behavior you’ve often demonstrated in the past. It has nothing to do with attacking you, or bullying, or being a mob. Considering English is ur first language and supposedly u’re a teacher, how can u lack comprehension skills that much?!? It really does speak volumes the way u’re acting and the kind of teacher u are. Then u come back and say u had a bad day?!? Nobody believes that excuse when u still keep the rude comments going. Reading ur posts, I often wonder if u’re even a real person. I just can’t wrap my head around how someone can be in such denial, constantly putting ppl down with demeaning comments, and twisting things for her own benefit. My thoughts on vaccines does not mean I’m spreading lies or misinformation. Some ppl in this forum clearly don’t agree with me on vaccines (that’s completely fine) but that’s way different than saying it’s misinformation. Not agreeing with something doesn’t necessarily make the other person wrong. It has taken me a long time to get where I am regarding vaccines, it wasn’t something that happened overnight or because I heard someone say it (which is what ppl tend to think about anyone that questions vaccines). I’ve read plenty of information about them throughout the yrs, studies, articles, data, some even from the cdc website, and that’s what shaped my views regarding vaccines. I’m open with my views about vaccines but like I said before, I’d never impose my views on anyone, this is the reason why I’m so against mandates (especially from the government) and censorship. I don’t buy the “it’s for the public health” excuse like the government love to make it seem, and it’s the ticket that has given them power to do whatever they want to do, I mean we’re starting to see it now.
