As far as my recovery (vag delivery) , the timing was just right. But DD was a preemie and had to stay behind in the NICU so it would have been nice to stay until she was discharged. The back and forth to the hospital to see DD, hold her, feed her, bring pumped BM, etc. was exhausting.

I arrived at the hospital around 6pm on Friday. Delivered DD at 4 am on Saturday. Left the hospital late on Monday night.

4 nights - just right.

This time around it was harder on me because I couldnt see Abby. She had a virus so she couldnt come to the hospital and we missed each other terribly. I DID need the days to heal from my repeat c-section though and I am STILL not healed 100% yet - I was almost not sent home.

i might be the only one saying "just right" being in the hospital for a little under 48 hours from start to finish, haha! i was admitted sunday night, had DD monday at 3pm, left the next day (tues) at 3pm. although i had a private room and the works, i didn't go in there with the mentality that i was going to stay there many days. i knew we could leave 24 hours after a vaginal birth and that's what i had in my mind.

Perfect. I was there 4 days post c-section. We used stonybrook hosp so I had a newly renovated private room :) It was nice to just relax and have help since it was a cs and not vaginal. I totally was there for 8 days though. I was induced for 3-4 days first.

Too long. In fact something got screwed up when I was being discharged with my Rhogam shot and I had to stay a few extra hours.. I was in tears.. I was in labor for 3 days in hosptial so I had been there from Monday night until late Saturday. Horrible.

Mine was too long and too short at the same time!

I went in Thursday afternoon and was induced - But didn't give birth until 10:31 Friday night... L&D nurses and room were great.

But in maternity I had a terrible roommate who had too many loud visitors the next day - one of whom kept peeking through the opening in the curtain to watch me try to pump. After and before visiting hours she was crying about pain and calling the nurse constantly and then telling her her pain was just a 2 on a scale of 1 - 10 - I just didn't get it... Then she asked me 5 times to turn off my light b/c it was bothering her..... During the day..... Psycho.

I wsa discharged Sunday morning - while I felt I needed another day for help with the baby - I couldn't wait to get away from her!
