How do you switch formulas for a newborn?

DD is on Similac Sensitive, this was originally because she was getting formula and pumped breast milk. At our 2 month appointment my pediatrician suggested that we try to switch to Similac Advanced since she is getting less breast milk. She said to introduce a bottle here and there during the day to not shock her digestive system.

What was your method when/if you changed formulas early in your DC's life? Like one bottle one day, 2 the next... etc?

This has nothing to do with the recall. Unless I am forced to switch because of availability, I have no problem staying with the Similac brand.

You can go cold turkey. I would recommend gentlease or good start over sensative though bc/ it is closer to BM. (I do favor Gentelase though)
Sim Sensative is lactose free. Gentlease is reduced lactose with partially broken down proteins so it is easier for digestion. The protein ratio is also 60/40 whey to caesin like that of BM. Futhermore, it also contains reommended DHA levels 0f .2% and above, and contains lactose. Which is recommended for calcium absorption and for lactase to work in the gut.

HTH!

We did cold turkey from regular enfamil to the fussiness and gas and eventually to the AR for spit up.
Each time we just switched with no transition.
She did fine...
