I chose over 35 K, but we were saving for a house too.
We bought the house about 1 month before DD was born, and our savings took a hit then. We started building it back up immediately though.
ETA: we weren't saving for the baby in particular, we were saving for the house and for life in general. We would have TTC without money in the bank and if we never TTC we still would have saved.
This is us too but we are about to sign contracts on our house this weekend!

finances never played any role in whether or not we were going to TTC.
Same here. I knew I wanted a baby, and that was it. People who have a lot less than we do have babies all the time.

We have/had some money but not that much. And it wasn't saved for ttc it was left over from our home savings. Like everyone else said if we waited till we were "financially ready" I would never have had kids... LOL
