If baby falls asleep while you're feeding/burping him...
and you don't get a burp, what do you do?
Put him to sleep without that last burp? Try to burp him in his sleep? When I try that, I never get a burp and end up waking him up - and then it's HELL getting him to go back to sleep again.

My DS is 7 weeks old and is HORRIBLE to try to burp. He also has reflux, apparently. BUT, last night and several times I couldn't get that second burp and I just had to put him down. I don't know if it's the right thing to do or not but I figure if he had to burp he would be squirmy or uncomfortable or something.
Not to hijack your thread, but I CANNOT get my DS to lay in a crib or pack n play or anything remotely like that. He sleeps in his swing and Fisher Price Rock N Play and it drives me NUTS like he's never going to sleep in a crib... Maybe I should start my own thread........... LOL. I just don't know what to do....

I tried until I got a burp...if he started falling asleep I would wake him, move him around, speak a bit louder to him.
He was colic and had acid reflux, so it was important that I got those burps out of him.

I feel like all of your post are what's going on with my DS. I put him down to sleep after trying to burp him for around 10 mins and he falls a sleep. I feel bad because often he'll squirm or cry, let out some gas and then either fall back asleep or wake up. I don't know what else to do either.
