I've had 3 c-sections and I stayed 3 nights with all of them but i did have the option to stay a 4th night but i was ready to go home.

4 nights. I would have stayed 7 if my insurance would have let me. I know a lot of people don't want to stay in the hospital, but once we left, it was me and DH - no other help, so I stayed as long as I could. I liked having the help of the nurses with the baby.

I had my DD on a Sunday at noon and was home by that Wednesday at 6pm. I had the option of staying that night but I just wanted to go home.

If you don't feel comfortable leaving, then tell them.

I had DD on a Wednesday morning and was released on Sunday at noon.

1st c-section I gave birth on Thurs and went home Sun

2nd c-section I gave birth on Fri and went home Monday.

Both times my dr said I could stay another day, but I don't sleep when I'm in the hospital so I decided to go home.

I stayed 4 nights with Jack and 3 nights with Ty

Had the twins thurs afternoon, went home sunday morning. So it was 3 nights, 2.5 days.

I had them Friday afternoon and I left Tuesday night (4 nights). I had lost alot of blood and had very high bp though so I almost had to stay another night bc they wanted to give me a transfusion.

i got sent home on the 5th day.. it felt soo long.

i could have stayed the extra day but had an easy recovery and DD was in the nicu (even though she was fine, once you are there you can't go to reg nursery) I could not have her with me at night or in our room so I wanted us both home ASAP.

I was supposed to be there 3 days after I gave birth but I want to get the heck out so they discharged me the evening of the 2nd day

Had two ccsections. stayed 3 both times. i was allowed 4, but i didnt feel i needed it :)

Had C section at 8pm friday nite; was home by 3pm monday. I felt pretty good though and was eager to go home.

Both girls were born on Sunday's and I went home on a Thursday.

If you still have pain, tell them. You need the rest.

DD- 5 days, but she was in the nicu so I stayed as long as I could to be with her.
DS- 3 days

I stayed 4 nights with DS, but was told I could leave after the 3rd.. I opted to stay the 4th and it made a huge difference in my recovery.
With DD I stayed 3 nights and was in a lot of pain when I left hospital.

DS was born at 11:56pm on a Thursday night. The doctor gave me the choice of going home Sunday afternoon or Monday morning. I chose to stay until Monday.

I was there 2 nights, and that was only because I had transfusions after emergency C-section. I BEGGED to get out because my son was transferred to another hospital. Dr. almost transferred me too, but I got up out of bed, took a shower, and put on a brave face. Blood work was good enough, and I promised to check in at other hospital if I felt I needed it.

Prob. 3 nights or maybe 4 would have been better, and in the right scenario a good thing for you, I just didn't care about myself at that point.

Take the extra time if you can!

I had my son on a Saturday night and was discharged 4 days later on Wednesday.

Had DD 6pm Friday, left at 10am Monday.

They sent a nurse to my house the next day to follow up since I went home a day early.

5 because my babies were in NICU-aren't yours? I would fight it. It will be hard enough caring for twins, you need time to heal a bit. make sure you're taking your pain meds on schedule...don't wait until it hurts

3 nights, but they told me I was entitled to 4 nights...I just wanted to go home.

I missed that you had the boys. Congrats!!

I delivered DD at 10:23pm on a Thursday night and was released that Monday. They asked me if I wanted to go home on Sunday, but I said no.

Are you getting up and walking as much as possible? I didn't at first because I was hooked up to the pain med drip, but once they took it out and I started moving around I felt SO much better. Also, do you have staples or stitches? I had staples and had a ton of pain at the incision from the pulling. I felt instant relief when the doc removed the staples. Feel better!

4 nights the first time, 3 the second. I wish I would have stayed the extra night the 2nd time.

I was only there 2 nights but that's because I had been in the hospital for 2 months already (and on bedrest for 4 months!) My doc knew I wanted and NEEDED to get out of there!
