Pull and pray. 
Been doing this since DD was born in June of 2016 and so far, it has worked every month. Eventually DH will get snipped. We have 5 kids. We are as done as done comes.

im done but not by choice though. i do not use BC b/c the dr's basically gave me 0% chance after two failed IVF's. Im almost 39. my eggs are shit apparently. So honestly, im not worried..
I was on the pill for years prior and would take the pill again if I had to.

Worked for me for 10 years of marriage before we tried for DD. And 7 years and counting now after she was born. I know exactly when I ovulate though so that helps.

LOL, yes I also know exactly when I ovulate. But I do know it is risky, especially when an oops baby would land us at 6 kids.  If I am even one day late, DH & I have a complete period of panic until my period comes. But, we are very very careful, and hopefully by the summer DH will be ready to have the vasectomy done.

Lol it worked so good and for so long for us that I was convinced I had fertility issues. Like 100%convinced. Because everyone says how ineffective it is. So I figured I HAD to have issues.
Until I got pregnant on the first time we tried.
Go figure...

many people have unprotected sex thinking, well I never got pregnant. Making a baby is all about timing and ovulation could happen without a person knowing, eggs get released, pop pregnancy :)

I had Essure done.
ETA: There’s a lot of controversy about it, so I probably wouldn’t recommend it now, but I haven’t had any issues at all and love it.

I haven't tried other IUDs but it's been good! Not sure if you'd have the spotting again (for a couple months) with a new one, that's the worst part.

Pill, doctor warned me about how many women come in and think they are experiencing menopause when in fact they are pregnant in their mid 40's. Yep, I'll stay on the pill.

This is my story, except I am in my thirties! I needed 3 years of fertility treatments to have my son and I only have one tube and endometriosis. I wasn't feeling well and figured since my chances of getting preggo naturally are pretty slim and early menopause runs in my family that I was just going through menopause. NOPE! I'm not almost 4 months along with my surprise baby, lol!

I had my tubes taken out after my third unexpected pregnancy. I was still not convinced and when I had period issues I ended up having a hysterectomy.

Honestly, I feel like that is the only 100% guarantee.
I have heard stories of vasectomies not working, tubal ligations not working, people getting pregnant when they think they are in menopause, you name it.
The only way to guarantee is to remove the damn uterus!

It worked for 10 years before DD... then we had an oops in October. Unfortunately, I miscarried, but boy was that a shock!

I had my tubes tied after having my daughter in 2014 and winded up getting pregnant summer of 2017 which ended in an etopic pregency which was the worst . Still thinking what I should do again since first time didn’t work

DH got a vasectomy. His doctor assured me the only time accidents happen after a V, is when the guy doesn’t come back for his 6 and 12 week checkup to make sure the surgery worked. That mofo better be right

I was thinking of this. Do you use the one with the "high" and "peak" fertility days?
Yep!  It tells you low, high, and peak. It's an older model, I've had it for years and years but it still works great!

this worked for me for many years pre kids and after my son, now that I have my 2 I am on paraguard. YES it worked well for me but since I do not want a surprise 3rd I opted for paraguard which has no hormones and I do not need to do a thing.I get a heavy period but I will take that since we can be carefree.
We did not do anything permanent bc we were 32 when DD was born and while we 95% DONE who knows, things change.
