Input Needed About Returning Your Leased Car To a Dealer Other Then Where You Bought It Question

My DH went from leasing several Honda's to an Acura the past three years(so it was easy when the term ended). He decided to leave Honda/Acura and move on. In any event, he left his Acura with 3 mos to go at the new dealer and they returned his car to Acura. His car was in perfect condition( he takes great care of his cars) but I regret so much not taking a picture because a third party comes and looks over the car Acura said and what if they lie about something? We know we owe 3 mos payment and a bit of over mileage but should we be concerned that they make up that something is wrong with it?

We just did this. Returned our BMW at a Honda dealership and after we did it I had nightmares that that was just sooo dumb of us!!!
they gave us the spedometer statement when we returned it and I confirmed that it was received by BMW. Last time we returned our Lexus @ BMW and we took tons of pictures. This time we just forgot.
But the good news....everything was fine. I spoke with BMW last week and they faxed me a letter we owe nothing, mileage was fine and no repairs needed. Zero balance and we are released form them basically. So I am sure that will be the same case for you as well. Good Luck!

Unless there is some real damage they wont bother you. little dings here and there are nothing.

We did this over the summer - returned our VW to the Volvo dealership. We were worried that we would get nailed because of some dings, the projected over-mileage and an accident report on the Carfax (someone rear-ended me) but Volvo completely paid off our lease to VW penny-for-penny and we walked away from the Volvo dealership not having anything more to do with VW.
