Re: irrational fears

Yes I'm 38 weeks and I still worry there will be something wrong with her. We had an NT scan and the results were normal yet I still worry she has downs.

I worry about everything!!

Re: irrational fears

I also think this site adds to the paranoia a bit.

I was never worried about TTC until I started following that board about 2.5 years ago. Reading about all the terrible things that can happen and all of the wonderful ladies that suffered a loss or who have infertitlity issues.

It makes it impossible NOT to have irrational fears when you are reading about REAL people have REAL problems. So while they may seem irrational, we are seeing some of our friends, our board buddies, experience these things and it makes it impossible to not worry.

Re: irrational fears

I was very worried about these things, and still worry that something will be wrong. I don't think they are irrational fears though, all of these things can and do happen. I think Ang is right, you just can't let it consume you.

Re: irrational fears

Totally!!! Like the baby will just evaporate and I won't know. Especially since my 'symptoms' aren't huge.

Re: irrational fears

I think it's normal. I get past it by thinking "Why would there be anything wrong with the baby?" I've taken all the tests that have been negative, there is nothing in mine or DH's family indicating a genetic issue and everything has been fine all along. So, to me, there is nothing to worry about. Honestly, I'm way more worried about autism that anything else (just in case you needed something else to worry about Chat Icon )

Not every hour, but everyday.

I have NEVER had anxiety until trying to get pregnant.
