The virus is more virulent and mutating into more dangerous variants because too many are unvaccinated making the population weaker and more susceptible to the virus. The more people that are vaccinated the stronger the immunity to the virus and the less likely we see variants. A virus is only as strong as its host is weak.
To add, we haven't "killed our immune systems" by wearing a mask.

And N95s (FFP2s) are quite effective and sold in drug stores (well, at least here).
Yes N95 is effective. I’ve never seen one in a drugstore??
But these cheap masks don’t stop the spread. So many mask wearing friends have gotten covid. While us “tin foil hat”, selfish, anti-vax, living pre 2020 life, anti-maskers are still standing Covid free or had the Covid sniffle. So masks mean nothing. Wash your hands and stay home when your sick. Basic kindergarten hygiene and common sense.
And people who work In hospitals and have always worn masks so they must do something….have you ever been in a hospital? Have you seen all the sterilization? The hand washing procedure? I’ve never seen a doctor or nurse come in while they were sick. Guarantee if we continue to disinfect schools, encourage more frequent hand washing, and keep kids home from school when sick….there will be no outbreaks.
Your earlier comment still makes NO sense and the variants are NOT due to mask wearing. Even in this last comment, you're contradicting yourself again. I don't really think you know what you're talking about. You seem to just want to spew anti mask rhetoric.

I have a friend who insisted on not wearing a mask for medical reasons. I have never been out with him when he refused so I don't know how embarrasing it might have been. He has traveled, goes on the train to work, has never wore a mask. Never gotten sick as well as his family who the kids did wear masks where told to.
Everyone just assumes that if you don't wear a mask or wash your hands or socially distance you ABSOLUTELY WILL get covid. Just like if you are careful you won't get it.
Same argument can be used about condoms. Guess people should just roll the dice and hope they don’t get pregnant or wind up with disease because you know condoms are not 100% effective.
Don’t many, everyday?

You can't reason with her, not worth your effort. Her friends sister's cousin's husband's brother's daughter in law's aunt wipes her butt with her hand every day, doesn't wash her hands and never wore a mask so OBVIOUSLY masks are a big hoax and the media has scared us all into believing we should mask ourselves and children. She knows it to be true.
Just stop. I know people who have died, ones who have issues 9 months later, ones who still can’t taste and ones that are perfectly fine.

Yes. Stay in school and learn all about science. Like my new personal favorite-
Mom tests positive for Covid and is symptomatic. She is vaccinated. Husband and teenage child are vaccinated. Child under 12 is not. The two vaccinated people who live in the house do not have to quarantine. Only the unvaccinated child has to quarantine.
Yes. Let’s stay in school to learn real science and not this crap you are spewing.

I’d be very careful what is said on a public forum especially when people are not as anonymous as they think. The name calling is starting to become childish especially for woman who have kids and are now acting like one
It amazes me how much people share especially now when companies and schools have so much access to what is said on social media and it can and is used against you at anytime.

I’ll give an example, my youngest is notorious for putting things in her mouth. Puts her hands in her mouth. Exposed to germs. That is one of the biggest ways we are exposed to germs. Through our hands. In the beginning of Covid I couldn’t believe how many times I put my hands in my mouth until I wore a mask. Open the plastic bag at the grocery store. Hold my credit card in my mouth. Flip the page of a book. Etc. when wearing masks you are not doing that as much. Thus not being exposed to as many germs.

No answer? How about the science behind places that only allow vaccinated people and children who are too young to be vaccinated (with a mask). Yet an unvaccinated adult can’t go with a mask? Or someone with natural immunity? I’d like that science explained too.

Oh another favorite. Vaccine cards that are good for a year….yet we don’t know how long the vaccine lasts for!! I must have missed the scientific explanation of that one.
