MIL already calling the baby "My baby"
DH and I went away for a week long babymoon and when we got back, she looked at my belly and said "Oh my, my baby is getting so big" I know this topic has been discussed before. It annoys me that MIL calls my nephews "my baby" so you can only imagine how i feel about her calling future DD that. I know I know, she is just excited and loves them...but DD is MY baby!!

she might be using it as a term of endearment.. unless she's walking around saying she's the baby momma, i'll just let it slide!  and if it really bothers you, be like you can call her "my baby" if you wake up with her consistently every night for a month.. that'll end it pretty quickly i think!

My mom does this... and when she was pg my grandma did it to her. It bothered me at first and then I kinda ignored it.

Im not going to say anything or act on it in any way...I kow she means no harm...she is just a very controlling person so it annoys me, thats it

My mom does this, I think it's cute. I know she won't call it "her baby" once the baby is here. She doesn't do it with her other grandkids just while they're in the belly

My mom has done this and I told her it's not your baby and laughed it off. She still does it from time to time but not that much. She is just excited. I think they honestly mean no harm and I know that it is annoying but I say it's not worth the aggravation in saying something.

my MIL once came up to me said "oh how is my baby?" I said to her "I dont know, why don't you go ask DH. He is over there." Dh is her youngest. She laughed a little and has not said it since. It bothered me a little but more than anythingI could not pass up on the opportunity to see her face. I know I am horrible but sometimes I cant help myself.
