Movie Party
My sister is thinking of having a bday party for my nephew at the UA theater in Westbury. They have a party room. Any reviews?
Or do you have any suggestions for a place to invite the entire classroom its 2nd grade boys. No Pump it up, bounce u etc or Kzam. Thx!

Re: Movie Party
I would look at Merrick Cinemas as an alternative to UA - since they do private showings for parties

Re: Movie Party
We just went to a backyard movie party. They played Big Hero 6 and had the big hero stuff all around even making the fact on marshmallows with edible ink. She did it to the white plates too. Party was at 6 so we had pizza and subs. The did bday cake then started the movie and handed out popcorn. I thought it was a great idea. The incite asked everyone to bring beach chairs.

Big Hero 6. She did the theme everywhere without it even costing a fortune. Just plain white plates and drew the robots face on it and also with the giant marshmallows.

Re: Movie Party
We do the backyard movie thing a couple of times in the Summer. We have a blow up screen and a projector. The screen wasn't expensive, but I know you can rent the whole shebang. It's a fun shindig!
I make a "concession" stand and buy snack trays on Amazon. Put popcorn in the popcorn bags from Dollar Tree, etc. get cups with lids/straws and wrap them in fun movie themed wraps. I can post some pics if you would like. We have done a Willy Wonka themed one which was great and showed the old Chocolate Factory movie, and some American Girl movies. Here is a link link

It's definitely a lot of fun! Even without a screen, you can hang a white shower curtain liner and show the movie on that. I did ours on the back on the house and hung it with gutter clips from Christmas lights. We did that before I got the screen.

The pics are at the end of my post, click on "link" and it takes you to pinterest. There aren't a lot there, but my PC crashed recently, and I lost a ton of pics, ugh
