NEWLY POTTY TRAINED AND BEING ON THE GO HELP!!
Potty Training on the go. what did you do/use/take with you ? My daughter is 28 months old, Yesterday was the 1st day that she went on the potty all day (I have been doing the no diaper no undies method and yesterday she did a great job) at night i put big girl undies on and she had an accident I then put a diaper on her because it was time for bed anyway. Now that she has almost got the hang of the potty I want to stick to it and ditch the diapers except at night . My fear is her having multiple accidents while out with her big girl undies (I have tried pull ups and she will go in them because she thinks its a diaper ) and I know i will have to now carry extra change of clothes . How did you handle this? what did you do when she was going on the potty all the time? how did you handle public bathroomS? folding potty seat? toilet covers?
TIA

Re: NEWLY POTTY TRAINED AND BEING ON THE GO HELP!!
When I took my DS out newly trained, he wore underwear with a Pull Up over them. That way if he wet, he was uncomfortable and it reinforced that he shouldn't go in his pants, but the pull up kept him from leaking all over until I had a chance to change him. I did the same for overnight.
Public toilets - those folding seats never really worked right for us, I think because he's a big boy. I got the stick on toilet seat covers from BRU.

I would absolutely not use pull ups no matter what. It's a glorified diaper, and will make your child regress. We used the potty toppers they sell at BRU and TRU, and just made sure we were not out for long stretches in the beginning.

Re: NEWLY POTTY TRAINED AND BEING ON THE GO HELP!!
Dd potty trained on her 2nd birthday. I have a fold up potty seat that we bring everywhere but she won't use it. She will hold it until we get home since she will not use a public restroom. She will use the potty at someone else's house but not in a store or restaurant. She does where a pull up at bedtime but that's just cecaus eher brother does and I don't want him to feel bad He is almost 4 and still wets the bed no matter how hard he tries not to. So dd wheres one too even though she wakes dry every morning.

Re: NEWLY POTTY TRAINED AND BEING ON THE GO HELP!!
I put a potty in the back of my truck. With suggestions from others on here I didn't use pull ups and just brought extra clothes with me. I knew that an accident was bound to happen and it wasn't the worst thing that could happen. I made sure I asked him about every 30 mins if he had to go. He never had an accident.

Re: NEWLY POTTY TRAINED AND BEING ON THE GO HELP!!
We have the Potette which was a seat that you could put on top of a toilet seat or alternatively, they had disposable bags that attach so you could basically put it anywhere and have her sit down and go.
And I always kept a change a clothes in case of accidents.
I wouldn't continue to use pull ups if she's been successful without. An accident goes much further in teaching than a pull up does.
