She still won't answer the question so many have...how is it that you think everything in this life is a choice and you should always be allowed to do exactly what you want without any regard for the greater good? And I'm not talking about the vaccine...the vaccine should not be mandatory, although I am fine with vaccinated people being allowed to do more. They are better protected, it makes sense. I am speaking of masks, social distancing, have an ounce of compassion and human decency. Side note- I got tickets to take my son to see Hamilton as his Christmas gift- the most sought after show in Broadway history- and I spent nowhere near $600 per seat.
Guess it depends on the time and seat. Wednesday afternoon for Hamilton in September Orchestra is $449/each.
Moulin Rouge can’t even find mezzanine tickets. Unless I am blind and these were the ones at $600 the other day.

Here is the right response for those who are not into the Covid vaccine, yes all of you that are vaccinated are right. I am selfish and now I am going to run out and get the vaccine for me and anyone in my family who hasn’t gotten it yet. You are all so wise and caring thank you so much for caring about the world. Even though I have reservations I will go get it because you are awesome and I want to be awesome too.
Give me a break with this response. As usual, VB gets called out and you show up with your useless sarcasm. You're nothing if not predictable.
It's funny how you think those who want the vaccine are the ones with a problem. I don't care what anyone chooses to do (and it seems like plenty feel the same) but the fact is that on these boards, it's week after week of those that don't want the vaccine railing on for pages on end about how bad the vaccine is and arguing with anyone who believes in it. It is getting SO old.
I don't why anyone keeps continuing to start yet ANOTHER mask/vaccine/COVID thread. There is really nothing to say at this point, it's just rehashing the same argument. Make your choice and move on already.

Exactly, because strangers online are going to change someone’s decision. Just as much as a free donut will.
Don’t forget the free sticker and maybe T-shirt too and put it on your fb status so you can let everyone know you are in the popular clique too.

An yet, here you are ALL day EVERY day trying to convince everyone with post after post about how the vaccine doesn't work and is not needed. Weird. Seems like you're hell bent on changing people's minds.
It is SO childish to make fun of anyone for getting a vaccine. It's not a popularity contest or a "clique", it's people making a common sense decision for the betterment of all. Grow up already.

Eh, I don't know. I don't think these types of generalizations are fair. I know many people, myself included, who were eager to get the vaccine and got it, and are also quite eager to remove the masks. I know people who are ok with the masks, but don't want, or are hesitant about, the vaccine.
I think the partisan nature of masks and vaccines has caused a lot of trouble, and these types of generalizations contribute to the trouble.
Thank.you It makes people feel better to generalize about others that don’t agree with them. Not realizing they have more in common with them than they think.

Why do you expect more from a person that didn't even know that private colleges/universities exist and that not all colleges in NY are part of SUNY/CUNY, actually more are private than not. But yet she went to college and her kids are attending...okay...sure...

I wasn't going to say anything in regards to that comment but since you mentioned it, it was literally the stupidest thing I've ever read. How in God's green earth can you possibly not understand the difference between a SUNY/CUNY school and a private university???? No words.
But yet she is an expert in infectious disease and medicine. Go figure!

Re: No more masks for vaccinated people..... Indoors and outdoors
To get this thread back on track, wherever you stand on masking I think we can all agree that's it's exciting to see things moving back towards normalcy. How nice it'll be to see someone smile again, or take in a show, or go to a game. We're light years from where we were this time last year when the world seemed so bleak. That is such great news! Everyone should be thrilled we're seemingly past the worst of COVID and hopefully we stay on this positive trajectory.
Here's to an even better second half of 202!!

Not to b!tch about masks but to be excited that the mandates/recommendations are changing. I'm sure you realize that and are just trying to . I didn't post and ask how anyone feels about masking, I posted to share the good news.

U really didn’t expect people with opposing views to chime in with their own comments? Not everyone in this forum have the same type of mentality so of course it’s predictable that comments with different POVs will be exchanged.

But there are so many road blocks. People are out there thinking that they can just take their masks off now.

Actually, I thought maybe this forum was finally past the ridiculousness of arguing over wearing masks over a year into the mandate and would just be excited to hear the news that they will soon go away. Silly me, this is LIF where people will continue to .

Not when you continue reading the stipulations:
Except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, including local business and workplace guidance.
I did hear this morning that Disney hinted about going to no masks.

Ha! Wishful thinking! Again not everyone thinks the same way. Comments will be made from all sides and complaining about certain comments that don’t align with ur beliefs is just silly.

Really? That’d be great! We were planning to go again next year but if they won’t require masks anymore, we might go earlier!

I'm not trying to say everyone fits into two neat little categories bc that certainly wouldn't be fair. But I am willing to make this generalization and there is already data backing it up. Here's just one poll. https://www.axios.com/ipsos-poll-mask-use-vaccinated-americans-66422391-8496-4035-88fa-70312a2b288d.html

Re: No more masks for vaccinated people..... Indoors and outdoors
Thank you for posting what I was thinking! I have no idea how anyone in NY can have gone through the college process, whether themselves or for their children and have no idea that there are private schools and public schools. It's so basic and I would think virtually impossible to not know, if you've actually been involved in the process in any way at all
