Of your close friends/family members who recently had a baby, how many c-sections?
A reply on the c-section post got me thinking... I know 9 friends/family who have had a baby within the last 3 years and the stats are:
4 c-sections
2 vaginal (with epi)
3 natural (vaginal no drugs) - 4 including me

C-sections
3 natural births for my 2 friends and cousin

I would say off the top of my head:
c-sections - 10
vbirths - 7

in the last year I know 3 friends
3 Vag - 1 was totally natural. no drugs or anything and was a VBAC
1 c-section (she had low amnio)
I had a crash c

My friend just had a baby yesterday naturally and had a baby 2 years ago also natural. I had a c-section and another friend had a vaginal with an epi so...
1 c-section
1 natural deliveries
1 vaginal delivery with epi

You might want to clarify your question as a "natural" birth is one that is drug free.
"vaginal" and "natural" are not the same

Yep.
I had a vaginal delivery (aka with drugs)
My friend & I had vaginal births (me one, her two)
My BFF had two emergency c-sections

I was the only C and only because the baby was in distress and got stuck in the birth canal(DS had a HUGE head ).
The rest were vaginal, 3 all natural- no drugs -8 births. My one cousin said she would never have C-section- luckily for her it worked out that way

Everyone I know of had natural births, weather it was a vaginal birth or a c-section
One friend of mine and myself are the only ones I know personally that had c-sections. I had twins and was induced for 4 days and my friend has ginormaous babies and there is no room for them to come out, even after they tried fro hours. Everyone else had vaginal births, maybe like 15 of them, that I can think of off hand.

Friends and myself who delivered 2009-2010
4 Vaginal w/ epi
5 C-sections
I had vaginal without epi (natural)
My one friend who had a c-section labored until 8 cm and stopped dilating - how frustrating!

In the last 3 years:
Me- vaginal, no epi but Demerol (never consented to it  )
SIL- C-section after a LONG labor after being induced
My sister- induced, vaginal birth with epi
My friend- induced, short vaginal delivery with epi
Another friend- induced, LONG labori, ended up with C-section

If I think back to when I was pregnant with my DD, more of my friends had a natural birth than a c-section that I know of, but I think it's a fairly even split.

2 c-section (inc. me  )
2 natural drug-free births (one a home birth!)
1 vaginal birth w/ pitocin
1 vaginal birth w/ pitocin & epi

In my circle
4 c-sections and 4 vaginal
One of the sections was me, 2 were planned and one was a failed induction.
Edited to say, of of the vaginal was my bf and she had a drug free water labor.

I have three good friends who all had a baby within a few months of me and they all had vaginal births. I was the only c-section.
