I'm feeling lots a movement over here too.... I can see my stomach move if I'm laying which is so weird! I also have no clue what to bring LO home in.... What's appropriate for August??
I think I am bringing baby home in short sleeves and I will bring a blanket just in case. Its going to be warm!
Yes my stomach is moving too- it's so bizarre, even the second time around LOL.

Hey August mommies . . . .am I the only one who's not feeling this baby??
am 20 weeks along . . . . and nothing!! so frustrating
you should start feeling movement soon. you might have an anterior placement which makes it more difficult to feel movement. Soon though!!

I can't believe I am 20 weeks already! My belly is huge and this baby is soooo active. My husband and son can already feel the kicks on the outside! I got a boxer in there! lol

Re: .:: Official AUGUST 2012 Mommy to be Thread! ::.
Hi everyone... I haven't been on here in so long. Congrats to all who found out . I had my Level II and I am but swear I saw a ....we'll see in August. I have a daughter already.
Feeling good but don't feel so huge yet - I've only gained 8 lbs so far. I was MUCH bigger at this point with DD. Feeling movement all the time - not actual kicks yet but this baby moves a ton at night. For all you first time mommies...just a tip - I wish I kept notes or a journal or something when I was prego with DD. I wish I had something to compare this pregnancy to but I have no idea when I was feeling movement/kicks last time. I think it would be nice to be able to look back and compare how different the pregnancies are....so start jotting down your thoughts!
For coming home outfit I'll be doing lightweight cotton - probably a long sleeve, footed pj type outfit. A/C is on in hospital and will be on in our car and home...I'll bring a blanket as well. I brought DD home in same thing in late June on one of the hottest and most humid days I can remember and it was fine...she def wasn't overdressed. I honestly wouldn't put a few days old baby in short sleeves or nothing on the legs that early on. I'd go for long sleeves and something on their legs.

We got the results from our level 2 last night and everything came back normal. I still have to go back friday to get the baby's measurements on his feet. He was sitting on them so they couldn't get an accurate measurement.
Oh and we're having a boy!!!!

August Moms- What are you currently working on (regarding prep. for the baby)?
I have not even started my home improvement projects and feel really behind on that. We need to clean out the room/area the nursery will be in and then paint that area. Then decorate it. I also wanted to try and get the downstairs carpets steam cleaned. We also need to rearrange some things in our bedroom to fit the bassinet and a few other things! ARGH. I am so nervous it won't get done before the baby comes...
On top of all of that, I am still trying to finalize the registries and figure out what I need to buy before she arrives

Have my registry done, and just recently booked the shower.
Now we are in the middle of re-modeling our basement in order to make room for our nursery (which is currently our "office".) My dad and uncle are helping to DIY it so its going to take longer than normal, I hope that its done by July at least so I have time to set up the nursery!

Re: .:: Official AUGUST 2012 Mommy to be Thread! ::.
We registered over the weekend. We have not done anything to that room yet because we are renovating our kitchen at the moment. We have to organize the other guest room first before we can empty the nursery. Probably won't do anything until May.

hey there...well we are moving in above my inlaws while we sell our co-op, so.....we renovated the entire 2nd floor....we just painted the nursery and installed a closet system. Bought our furniture, but isn't being delivered until July. We registered, but I still change stuff here and there. That's about it. You'll get it all done, you still have probably almost 100 days or so left until LO arrives right?

Saw the babies again last Friday at 22 weeks- baby A was 1lb1oz and baby B was 1lb2oz- great sizes and they looked perfect!!
We're also going to be doing a major renovation in May/June so praying these babies stay put until late July. Need to get my DSs big boy room ready so we can see if he'll take to a toddler bed.

Oh I can make you feel much better about everything you have to do. We just closed on a house less than 2 weeks ago. We immediately started full renovations, ripped out the kitchen and bathroom and dining room floors. Installing new windows in Master Bedroon, and new crown molding, base boards and window/door casings in the entire house. As well as obviously painting. I am in way over my head . . . Have not had time to think about registering, but have to get that done soon

Re: .:: Official AUGUST 2012 Mommy to be Thread! ::.
Congrats to all on great appointments and finding out gender!
As far as what I have done, I haven't really worked on anything new for baby. This is my second dc so I'm just moving this baby into my ds's room, which is already set up for a baby, and I moved him into the spare room. Once he's completely settled in I'll have to figure out what I need for this baby. If it's a girl, I'll just get new bedding/accents since the paint/furniture are gender neutral.
Has anyone bought a bathing suit yet? I'm dreading even thinking about this but I know I will need one. I'm trying to figure out how one little suit will hold the belly and boobs of a very pregnant woman come summer! Any suggestions?
