14 weeks and no bump yet.
I got to see the baby today and go over the part 1 of the NT scan. Baby looked great. Nuchal fold measured 1.7 they like to see it under 3. Test for downs was 1 in 2,700 and for Trisomy was 1 in 10,000.
Also my OB told me today that they deliver at LIJ or South Nassau, not Winthrop like I had thought. I chose LIJ because I heard the Katz center is amazing!
Yayyy, glad to hear all is okay! And woohoo on Katz - I've heard awesome things about it as well.
Anyone else having issues w/ sleeping?

Yay all around! How is everyone doing? Feel like no one has checked in for a while. All good here... Naseousness is better but not completely gone. Still trying to be careful with what I eat.
I was having trouble sleeping in the beginning (also with the sickness at night)... Which almost completely went away until last night when I was up all night (and making up for it this morning)... But that could be bc I also had alot on my mind. Who knows?

I was up lastnight from 3-4:30...Had to go pee, then got hungry, and was too hot. Was impossible to fall back asleep but thankfully I did so I can atleast try and get through today. I ended up buying the mini version of the pillow to sleep with which has been helping a little bit but I still find sleeping to be very uncomfortable.
My appetite has also increased since the last two weeks. Fun fun.

I've been tossing and turning most nights. I'm a stomach sleeper and I'm already getting uncomfortable attempting to sleep on my stomach. Plus most nights hubby's snoring is waking me up
Also a few nights I have been woken up by major heartburn.

I like to sleep on my stomach also. Obviously that hasn't happened in a few months lol. The belly pillow I bought (it's not the full body one) has been helping a bit but still not so comfortable.
Random question - does anyone ever feel like they can hear the baby's heartbeat? Lastnight, I could have sworn as I was laying down after going up the stairs that I could sense a heartbeat in my belly area.
Edit: To answer my own question, some people are saying it could be hiccups.

I'm sleeping terribly. Can't get comfortable, up to pee often, and up to nurse my DD.

Who have you girls told... I'll be 16 weeks on wed. And ppl Dnt understand y I haven't told the world yet...
We've told all family and friends that we (me, DH, my immediate family and my inlaws) speak to on a regular basis.
Our friend came over and took some pictures for us for our Facebook announcement. Here's one of my favorites...
Are you friends with Tiffany deBeaumont? LOL she just showed me your announcement at work!

DH and I are starting to look into nursery ideas. When are you going to start looking for furniture and where are you going? I have to ask my girlfriends where they have gone...but figured I would ask on here as well.
Also - anyone have any ideas for decorating? So far we're a little stuck...hoping to get some ideas once we find out the gender. Would love to see pictures of ideas if anyone has!!!

Re: *** Official August 2014 Thread ***
We're thinking that we'll end up buying the furniture at Buy buy Baby and be able to use the 20% coupon which will be super helpful. We need a crib, the rocking chair, and maybe a mini little dresser/side table. There's also some built ins that make it perfect for storage and diaper changes, so thankfully we don't have to get every piece.
We have too many ideas now for what the design will look like :( The only thing we're sure of is that it will be gray and some kind of design on the wall that the crib is against.

I've been reading baby bargains and jotting down brands of furniture to look at.
I think we want to go with a under the sea/beach type theme for a boy or girl.
These are the two sets I like.Image Attachment(s):

Love it!
Think Im going with white furniture if its a girl also so Im gonna see after we find out the gender. With DS we went to JCP Home Store and got a great set with a convertible crib/ toddler bed/ bed. It was a darker wood. If we have another boy Id like to get the same set so if they end up sharing a room or moving things around they will match

How's everyone feeling?!
We just had our 16 week check-up this morning. Heard baby's heartbeat, did blood work, and all that fun stuff. Now the wait for the anatomy scan begins, in 3.5 weeks!

Thank you! We are so excited!! I am 16w2d. I go for an early anatomy scan on Monday (weather permitting) so I'm hoping they'll be able to confirm their genders (amongst other things). It was pretty obvious though. We went to little 3d wonders in Nesconset. What a great experience it was! I was in the room for over an hour. The tech really took her time.

That's awesome!!! I wish I could do an early anatomy scan, but have to wait until I'm 20 weeks...3 weeks to go!

We're not going to do a gender reveal party, but will tell everyone in person in some way after we find out.
How's everyone feeling!?
