Baby boy seems to like chocolate milk (just like his mommy) - he gets so active after I drink a glass of chocolate milk, nothing comes close - not even ice cream! It cracks me up!

Aww thats awesome! I cant wait til i can feel my little boy. At my a/s I was told the placenta is up front and acts like a cushion so I'll feel him a little later than usual.

I still don't feel him constantly, and some days it's less strong - it seems when he's going through a growth spurt (my guess) he's a little less active.

Awesome! I'm drinking chocolate milk as we speak- and hes sleeping! I THINK I started to feel some type of small movement the other day. It has been for about the last 3 days but very small. I can't even describe it. Maybe like the tiniest poke but only can be felt on the inside. So do you think thats him? 19 weeks now, can't believe I'll be 20 weeks on Sunday!

The earliest movements always felt like tiny pokes for me so I'd guess that's him! So fun!

With DD, I drank chocolate milk all the time for some reason. I don't drink milk ever and don't normally even buy it but I've been wanting to lately. I'm holding off bc I know once I get started I'll want chocolate milk all the time!

I can't stand the taste of regular milk - have never been able to drink it. So I have 1 glass of choco milk a day and that's my calcium (along with my other veggies and cheese).

I'm sure that's him. With both of my pregnancies, I always described the first movements as "little pokes". Chat Icon

OKay so maybe its him. A few little twinges today in my lower stomach area. Its like sporadic little twinges and pokes. Hopefully he will start becoming more active.

So I never drink regular milk. I use almond milk in cereal and protein shakes. DH bought TruMoo 1% Lowfat chocolate milk and I tried it. I been drinking a small cup all week and its good. Not overly chocolaty.

YAY exciting! Finally! I can't wait to feel them from the outside too. Now if I could just look pregnant that would be good! The 2 people I saw this week said I see a little something going on. My cousin today said you just look like you have normal pudge. So hopefully an actual bump soon! Baby steps...

Once every few days I'll feel something from the outside, but it's usually only once or twice and NEVER when DH is trying. Every night as we're crawling into bed, he kisses my belly and says goodnight to baby - has since I was about 8 weeks along - now he keeps his face there telling baby boy to kick him or punch him. It's actually really funny, I absolutely love it.

YES!!!! Henry does the same to me!!! I'm not getting as much sleep because every time I get comfortable, he kicks me until I move! It's good to feel him kicking consistently though.

I'm getting so excited to see Reid as a big brother! He is such a mush recently with "babies" (any kid younger than him even if it's only 2 months, lol) and loves sharing. Hope this continues!!!

Just shy of 2 years! They'll be 22 months apart (exactly if Henry comes on his due date, lol!). I think 2 years is a great amount of time! Took us a little longer than expected for #2 (and fertility meds) - I originally wanted them closer to 1/1.5 years apart, but I'm glad I have more time with just Reid!

that's the distance apart I'm hoping for (1-1.5), but it took about a year for us to get this one (after losses last year)... DH and I decided I'm NEVER going back on BC pills ever again. We're 99% sure that my body doesn't wean off them properly and that's the biggest reason why I had issues for so long.

I needed meds for Reid too- took us 16 months of trying for him (thankfully with no losses). I wanted to try without meds for this one and we did for a few months, but it didn't work so we went back and even with meds it took a little longer the second time around! I've never been on bc.

I've heard that you're your most fertile right after having the baby so 1 year apart shouldn't be that hard! This is one of the reasons we didn't go back to meds right away! Hopefully it works out for you! It'll be crazy with them so close! My sister and I are 11 months apart and I have no clue how my mom did it!!!

I too will not be going back on BCP. I was on them for about 10 years. Stopped them when I turned 30 and got my period 28 days later. I had normal cycles so I figured I would be able to get preg. BUT after "seeing what happened" and nothing was happening for over a year we went to a RE. They really couldn't find anything wrong with us so I did IUIS and IVFs. Then I went to a new RE (Thank God). Finally after a year and a few months of treatments I am pregnant. It was a long road (2 1/2 yrs to get preg) and I am still bitter about it. When people say they got preg without even trying I think how lucky they are and how unlucky I am.

As for a sibling I would love to have 2 kids and them to be about 2 years apart. Is that gonna happen...idk. I am lucky to be even preg with this first one due to all we have been through. I have 1 frozen so I'm hoping thats my LOs sibling! I have NO IVF coverage left. Even though we will never use BCP again or any type of BC it would be rare we would get preg on our own. We have an immune issue so really to get preg I need to be on Prednisone and Intralipids. Really hoping a miracle happens for #2.

Anyways thats my story (well the short version)....thanks for reading.

I thought I wanted around 20-24 months apart but that wasn't happening. DD was 15 months before I even got AF back and that was only bc I started weaning to be able to TTC and it still took 7 months and a loss to get here. Still much better than the 14 months it took with DD. I have to say though, I really wasn't ready as soon as I thought I would be. DD will be 2 years 8 months and I'm happy with that. I also have been leaning toward taking my chances and not bothering with BC since we do want a third but we'll see. I kind of like drawing out these early years bc I think in the long run it will go by so quickly and I know I'll miss it!

I'm getting my tubes tied after what happened with me. Unexplained IF, 4 iui's, a chemical, twins thru IVF, only to get pregnant with DS on our own? I had never been on the pill. Years ago, my cousin scared me because she wasn't able to conceive and blamed it on the effects of the pill. I know I know, not true necessarily but I got spooked. Definitely getting my tubes tied after not using BC for the last um, 10 years... Chat Icon

Its good you have a plan. You give me hope that I have a chance of getting preg on my own after doing IVF. No more IVF coverage and I really don't wanna go through that emotional roller coaster again.

Were you shocked when you got your BFP with DS on your own???

Beyond shocked to hell and back! We hadn't used BC in the past, just never happened. When I went on my medication for Multiple Sclerosis, I had to start using BC so I wouldn't get pregnant on my meds. DH and I really didn't because we didn;'t like it.
When we were "ready" to ttc for real, I was 34 and in a rush to have a baby and get back on my medicine just in case. It took more than 3 years and I struggled with no diagnosis.
There I was, after my C-section with twins, cut open on the table. You'd think I was elated right? I was like "hey doc, do me a favor, while you're in there, check for endo or anything else you'd see as a factor for IF". He laughed. but he did look! his answer: "nothing. Ship-shape."

So no diagnosis, we go back to doing our thing, I'm back on my meds and lo and behold, AF is 3 days late. I'm never late! I POAS and almost forgot about the stick until 10 mins later. (it was soooo not on my radar) Chat Icon I thought the stick had to be rotten or expired. I ran out and got 4 more. Over the next day, BFP each time. Chat Icon
I never ever ever in a million years thought it would happen to me.
I did get pg on my MS medication, which at first was a concern. It all turned out to be fine (knock wood).
I still have frozen embies in case I lose my mind or hit the lotto and we want 5 kids Chat Icon

Wow, what a story. Thanks for sharing! Miracles do happen. You will be super busy with 3 little ones but it will all be worth it. Lately I have heard a lot of stories of ladies getting preg on their own after IF battles- its amazing. Were you planning on using your frozen embryos before you found out you were preg with DS?

I too struggle with the unexplained diagnosis. I asked for every test in the book with my first RE. We did so many tests but everything always came back good. I knew there was more to it thats why I switched REs and got immune testing. The immune testing showed a partial DQ Alpha match with my DH which is basically a DNA match and my body doesn't recognize him as foreign which is what you would want to achieve a pregnancy. So at least we finally had something to work with. So I'm happy with just having this LO and if a miracle happens on its own or my one frozen embryo works then great. If not, I have to be happy with what I have. I doubted I would even ever have a child after all my failures.

You have every right to want more babies and have the family of your dreams. I hate when people say, "you should be so blessed with what you have". My cousin is going through this right now. She wants 1 more but people are so insensitive to her...
Our plan was to transfer 1 frozen embie in September! I think it's miraculous how the body figures out what to do.

I tell everyone the story of my grandma. After a little over 3 years of trying and losses (that we can guess, not confirmed as it was almost 60 years ago).... My grandmother went on to have FOUR kids in FIVE years. This was before the time of any sort of medical treatments. Sometimes, for some people, your bodies just need a little extra time to "figure it out". Now a days we are blessed with medical knowledge, technology, and medicine, which could have helped her achieve pregnancy sooner, but it happens!

Don't ever let anyone make you feel bad for hoping for or wanting to love another child.
