I went in for my appt this week. No internal (thank GOD! I had 2 last week! ) Just did the NST. But I talked to the dr, and he seems to think that I might be a candidate for induction. 
I just want nature to take its course!!! Operation-water-break is in full effect! I'm gearing up for some long walks,  , hot sauce, warm baths, etc.
You still have time and they are discussing inductions already?
I'm seeing my dr for my 39 week appointment tomorrow. I don't think I made any progress so I think we may be discussing an induction as well. Do warm baths really work?? I'm trying to walk everyday and now that I'm not working anymore I should be able to get nice long walks in.
Keep us updated on your progress.

It was more of a "this could be a very real possibility..." talk.
I heard warm baths help....although I don't know how you'd know if your water broke while in the tub...?

It looks like I have one stubborn baby on my hands! My EDD is Sunday and at my appt this morning I wasn't even a little bit dilated. The dr thinks my amniotic fluid may be low so I have a growth sonogram scheduled for Thursday. He offered to schedule a c-section but said that's not what he recommends. I guess we'll see what it looks like in there on Thursday and then come up with a plan. I'm praying I go on my own and don't need to be induced

Looks like we have progress over here. I am 2cm and 80-90% effaced. I am completely in shock. Just 4 days ago I was .5cm. HOWEVER I have had lot of pinching and weird pains on my hoo-haa so I was sorta wondering if something was going on.
But anyway I am also a GD patient and baby is measuring small. Could mean nothing at all or could mean placenta is not functioning. My dr discussed induction with me and caught me so off-guard. She said I could get induced as early as this Thursday (39 weeks) or wait till Monday and see if I go on my own this weekend which I am praying. It is not an emergency and all my NST's are always picture perfect. I think she is just be overcautious but she did scare me a bit.
I HOPE THIS BABY COMES ON IT'S OWN!

I'm so comforted by knowing all you other GD girls are also talking induction with your doctors. I really didn't want to be induced, I want to go naturally, and maybe I'll be lucky and I will, but if not they're inducing me at 39 weeks 3 days (next Monday) This Wednesday they're gonna try stripping my membranes, if I'm dilated at all, I really hope I am, but I have no clue if I am or not

My water broke this morning. I'm laboring at home for a while (contractions are about every 5-6 minutes right now) then we'll head to the hospital. So crazy how different this is from when I went into labor with DD!!!!
I have to say... I'm really glad I bought a package of depends undies the other day because this is GROSS!!! It's a leak/gush during contractions type of break (I noticed it was dripping down my leg earlier after I had just gone to the bathroom) so the depends is keeping me from dripping all over the house. Ewww.
I feel kinda elated right now. I'll let you know what happens (or ask TheDivineMrsM to update if I can't for some reason)!

I'm doing ok. Contractions are very easy to spot now and still steady at 5-6 minutes apart lasting just under a minute. Although this one just started at 4:30 since the last. Ouch! But in between contractions is nice. 
(I have a contraction timer app on my ipad otherwise I'd have no idea lol.)
Sorry it's taking me forever to finish anything I get so distracted. Now they're closer to every 4 minutes, but they're a little shorter and more erratic time-wise. I'm eating a small bowl of cereal. DD should be waking up soon so I'm going to try to stick around here until she does. Laundry just finished. This is so funny.

This is such a great idea! When my water broke with my DD, it was the GROSSEST feeling to have it trickling out for hours. I was in the hospital and had to ask for them to give me a towel to keep between my legs. Blech!!!

I saw the dr yesterday and I am 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. She doesn't want me to go past my due date because of the GD so she's hoping I'll have the baby by this weekend. Feels so crazy that we're all starting to have our babies.

OMG Congrats Sandra! I hope delivery is super-easy!!! Can't wait to see pics of the little guy!
and good luck / an early congrats to those being induced soon!
gotta admit that i'm a bit shocked and frightened to know that if you guys are having your babies, that mine's prob coming soon too! i'm not sure i'm ready yet! ahhh! lol
i have a doctor's appointment this afternoon so we'll see what she says.

My OB stopped by this morning and he did my initial check here. Water def broke and I was 3 cm and 90% effaced at 8 am. Contractions are strong but short, maybe every 3 minutes. It's just a waiting game now!
Good luck everyone! I'll let you know when the baby shows up.

ok so this is a stupid question ... when are you supposed to call the doctor and when are you supposed to to go the hospital?
i thought when contractions are every 5 mins, you go to the hospital - are you not going yet because they're still too short?

I came to the hospital when they were 4 min apart but they're still not that strong. I called when I realized my water broke. Last pg, I came to the hospital when I had my bloody show and was already 5 cm/ when I got here.

I was told the general rule of thumb is 5 minutes apart, 1 minute long for 1 hour. Some doctors differ on this so you should speak to them.
If you water breaks you call the doctor also because there's a risk of infection.

We had the same due date too! Now it really feels real that it could be any day now!

Colin James was born at 4:57 pm, 6 lbs, 7 oz, 19.25 inches.
Was a long day, but he's perfect and I'm doing great too! TY everyone for the easy labor vibes! I'm so happy he's here!
Totally different experience than my first, but he did great and I feel good! Your babies will all be here soon!
