I'm so intrigued by this since that psychic told me I was having twins last month!! (but, he also said I'd have 3 kids total, so it could be for pregnancy #2! lol)
Yes, found out at my first sono at 6 weeks. Could see both sacs and heartbeats.
Had a suspicion before then because my beta #s were really high (and we had put back two embryos for IVF).
Hi girls... ive been busy and havent be online.
I found out i was preggo with twins at 5w5d - it was early anyway, but we saw two bubbles. the next week 6w5d, we saw 2 heartbeats and they are in the same sac!! identical twins - crazy!!
Im going on the 21st for 10 week sono and checkup, so i will keep you updated...
i cant believe all the sets of twins

DH I and went to BabiesRUs tonight just to look around. It's way way too early to register but we just wanted to see what kind of stuff they have. It was really overwhelming because they carry SO many different options and it seems like babies need SO much stuff! I think there must have been at least 40 different car seats to choose from!  I really think that when we do get around to registering that its going to take several trips to the store. I can't see us making so many decisions all in one day. I really want to get that Baby Bargains book to get an idea of what brands to look for. Maybe that will help.

I looked it up on Amazon and they had it. I also saw they had a Consumer Reports book on baby products but the most recent issue seems to be from 2009. Hopefully an updated edition will come out this year.

So ladies, is anyone having any cravings yet? I'm still nauseous most of the time, so I mostly eat carbs. I'm obsessed with microwavable soft pretzels. And for some reason, I've been loving mozzarella sticks. I know they're not a healthy choice, but I feel like I could eat them all day long!  I've been limiting myself to just a few a day though.

It's not really a craving but I looooove cheese lately. I mean, i always liked cheese but now, i just can't get enough.
DH even bought some tostito's cheese sauce and i've already devoured almost the entire jar by myself in less than a week.
On a probably-related note, i'm feeling very bloated today. My stomach & love handles are definitely larger than usual. <-- dislike.

I had a 3d sonogram today! It was only supposed to be a 2d to just make sure everything is ok since my doctor's office is being really stingy with the sonograms. Everything is great! It was so cute and s/he was covering his/her little face.

How often / what week #s do you have scheduled sonos or check-up appts w/ your OB?
Anyone getting that "new" Materni-T blood test to check for Down's?
I had sonos at my RE at 6 & 8 weeks, graduated, took a week to decide on an ob that specializes in twins...made an appt which will put me at 11 w 4 d.
Of course, that's not based on any medical reasons... The receptionist just gave me the next avail appt.
Is that too long in between appts? I'm nervous about it.

I think I had 6 sonograms the first 3 weeks after my bfp b/c I had spotting & cramping right away, so they wanted to make sure it wasn't an ectopic and they also wanted to monitor the huge cyst on my left ovary.....so I guess I got "lucky" in a sense b/c I basically got to watch baby bean go from a little dot to looking like an actual baby! I wasn't supposed to have another sono from 6w5d until 10 weeks, (and that's also just how it worked out w/ available appointments) and that felt like it was going to be an eternity!! But since baby bean likes to keep things interesting, I went in yesterday at 8w4d and I will be going back on Friday at 9w1d.....and I plan on going to my first appointment with the new ob I chose next week on 3/29 (I've known all along I didn't want to stick w/ my old ob). So I guess I'll find out how often they want to see me after the appointment. They just happen to be high risk so I hope that means they do sonos often!!
If you want to have another sono sooner than 11w4d (I would!), maybe try calling to see if there are any cancellations or see if you can get a different time slot (the morning/midday)....if I start out saying I can only come in at night I find that the appointments are a lot later than if I can squeeze in a visit in the AM. Good luck, hope they have some other availability for you!!

We had our first appointment yesterday and we saw a heartbeat!!! They also moved my due date up a day. It's finally starting to seem real! I'm so excited!!!!!

so here's my baby bean that's already giving me grey hairs at 8w4d thank god everything looked ok yesterday after the scare with the bright red bleeding on Sunday night. At least I got to see little bean before my next appointment at 10 weeks, you can see the head is tucked into the arms which are still developing

on another note, i am in maternity pants today. dont see how i'll ever go back to regular pants lol i was going to buy the belly band to hold me over for the next month or so but i decided to just spend the extra $15 and get maternity pants, i just fold the panel over. figured i can wear them for the majority of my pregnancy.

That sounds right. They saw me first at 8 weeks, just to confirm the pregnancy and do a regular exam, then again at 9 weeks. I won't go back until 13 weeks; they'll see me once a month for awhile unless something of concern comes up.
I wasn't told about the blood test, but I am going for an NT scan (at a different office) on Monday.
