This weekend I am going to a friend's baby shower. She lost her baby last year at 32 weeks and she is 32 weeks right now so this is quite an emotional time for her, but I am glad she's having a shower so we can celebrate this baby. (She lost her baby just a few days before her shower was supposed to be in early 2011.) I have been working on games for her, made her a diaper cake and a diaper tricycle! My mom's in town and coming along too!
As far as maternity clothes and looking fat goes, I have given up entirely. I'm 11 w tomorrow and in full-on maternity gear. Today it's leggings and a tunic. :)
My next appointment is 4/2 for the NT ultrasound and I can't wait to see how this little one is growing!!!!
Oh, I'm still mega sick and throwing up every morning I don't take the zofran. I threw up twice this morning then took the pill because I can't take care of DD when I'm that sick.
Speaking of which... she's up from her nap 20 minutes now and I just let her sit in her crib playing... oops. I'm trying to get the bingo cards done for my friend's shower! :)

yay more due date twins!! it's funny though b/c unlike on LIW when a wedding date twin was really a date twin, we will all most likely deliver on different dates anyway lol but at least we'll all pass the same milestones together It's exciting to think some of the October mommies are out of the 1st trimester already, I can't wait to cross that hurdle!!

I was due on 1/7 with DD and she was born on 1/6 (I went into labor the night before and she was born just after midnight), one day early. 
There was no one else due the same day as me, but there was another mom due 12/30 and she had her baby on 1/8!! 
My grandfather turns 90 on 10/7 -- I would LOVE to have the new baby on his 90th birthday! I also think 10/11/12 is a pretty neat-o date and would be fun. I know someone who was pregnant with me who had a 1/11/11 baby -- such a cool date.

There are two of us due October 8th, too  Don't feel bad, I think all of us preggos are kind of foggy and suffering from pregnancy brain. I know I am!

I totally forgot that this date was possible for our LO's!! I'd love a 10/11/12 baby! 
BIL was born 7/7/77 at 7am - always thought that was pretty cool

I didn't even think of the 10/11/12 date!! how fun!! DH and I met on an October the 13th (11 LONG years ago lol) so I would love if I went early on 10/13/12!! I hope you go on 10/7 for your grandfather's birthday!!!

so the update on tonight's follow up appointment, baby bean is still doing well!! Even though I've been spotting all week and feeling crappy, I guess I'm just one of those "lucky" ones that might have spotting & such throughout pregnancy (but hey, as long as LO is healthy I will definitely consider myself lucky regardless!!).
Baby bean's heartbeat was still going strong at 185 bpm, and I saw the baby's hand move on the sono tonight!!! So exciting!! I am 9w1d today, can't wait for the next sono!!! Which fortunately is on Monday when I meet the new doc, I actually told my old ob that I'm switching when I went tonight, they took it well, I told them I wanted a smaller practice....they even gave me an envelope with all my info from the past year of visits! It went better than I expected!!
When is everyone else's next appointment? And how many sonos have you had so far?

Sounds like you had a great appointment! Have fun with the new doc!
My next appointment is on 4/2 for the NT ultrasound. So it'll be a sono, blood-draw, and then a meeting with the doc. I'll be 12 w 2 d. I can't wait. :)
I've had one appointment but 2 sonos so far. My first was at 7 w 4 d when they actually dated me and gave me a due date and I went back a week later because I was scared and wanted to know everything was going ok. I measured 8 w 5 d (it was one week and one day later) so everything was perfect. I need to call this week and get them to write me a prescription for prenatals. I need some with plant-based DHA. This fishy burping is awful.
My OB's office usually does only 3 sonos the entire pregnancy... 8 w, 12 w, 20 w. I had 4 with DD because of a spot on her heart. The whole last 20 weeks with no sonos is SO HARD so we'll see what happens this time. I've met my deductible for the year so I might see if they can give me an extra one or two. I had one at 28 w last pregnancy because of partial placenta previa that cleared up.
I've gotta get some sleep! Have a great weekend everyone!

My 12 week sono is next week. I cant wait! I haven't had a sono since I was 6 weeks so I'm so anxious to see what's going on in there!

I had my NT scan this morning and everything is great! My doctor told me I can start telling people and advised me to buy maternity clothes. The latter part wasn't so successful

Yay! Glad it went well. My NT scan was this afternoon. I couldn't believe how much the baby was moving and flipping around, or that it actually looked like a baby!

aww i cannot wait to get to this point!! glad it went well for you ladies.
i had one sono at 7 weeks and another at 9 weeks, it was amazing the amount of growth in just 2 short weeks. i have a prenatal appointment next monday, 4/2 when i'll be 11 weeks - no sono scheduled. they said they should be able to hear the heartbeat on the doppler, but if they can't, they'll throw me in for a quick sono. in a way, i WANT to get the extra sono - but i know i will be freaking out if they don't get the HB on the doppler.

My doctor's office has a strict rule that they won't even use the doppler until 12 weeks. Your dr doesn't do a 12 week sono anyway for the nt scan?

Hi! Just logged on after coming home from the appointment, you will LOVE Dr. Sadaty!!! She was wonderful!! Very patient, took her time answering my questions and she did my sono herself! The complete opposite of my old ob's office, where I had not seen even ONE doctor since I've been going in since February 17th!! (and it's been like this for regular checks ups the last year too, which is why I already knew I wanted to change!). The only stinky part is that I was spoiled with the old ob doc since they did 3D sono's like EVERY visit, whereas at Great Neck Ob/gyn it seems like if it's regular check ups it's just a normal sono. But that is a small complaint considering overall I loved everyone there, the front desk staff, the nurses and especially the doctor. They gave me a bag of "goodies" too (a bunch of boxes of prenatal samples and 4 or 5 baby magazines). The funny thing is I actually know one of the girls at the front desk!! We were fellow band geeks when we were teenagers, small world! Even crazier I knew TWO people in the waiting room, I did not say hello and kept my nose in my book so they didn't notice me (I hope!) since they would definitely spread the news around (I would say they wouldn't suspect anything BUT DH was with me which is kind of a red flag! lol). Sorry for this long winded reply, but I know you're going there tomorrow and wanted info! Let me know what you think when you go! I go back in 2 weeks for the NT scan and other testing.

Glad to hear about all these appointments going well! I've heard great things about Dr. Sadaty. I'm sure I'd go to that practice if I still lived in NY. As far as sonos go, at least you get several! We only get 3 (sometimes 4) the whole pregnancy! Since I've made my deductible this year, I might try to get an extra one or two if I can this time... we'll see.
As far as the 11 w appointment goes, they tried to accidentally schedule my second appointment for 11 w 2 d (today, actually) and I had to tell the scheduler that it should be next week instead since they do the NT ultrasound then and it's more accurate after 11 1/2 weeks. So it'll be next Monday 4/2 at 12 w 2 d. I have been counting down the days for so long!!!
