OK, I'm just gonna come out and ask....
to enema or not?
My nurse friend & Mother of 2 said to just do it......she said I'd feel better and it's not that bad.
What are you doing?

I plan on having one. I will be buying one in the drugstore and either doing it before I leave for the hospital or doing it at the hospital. I might ask my doctor about it at my next appt.
Just wanted to add that when I was a nursing student and did my L&D rotations, during the vaginal deliveries, the women did poop but the nurses were so fast. They cleaned it up the second it came out and it was no big deal.

My friend said they gave it to her in L&D.... (she's a nurse in Huntington L&D and she said most of the nurses recommend it)

I was so nervous about that whole subject and since I was induced, I was able to be prepped prior to delivery.
I too delivered at Huntington

Ah, interesting. I have NO idea if I will be doing this. I've never done one ever, so not sure what to expect!

I thought about doing it on my own for Rylan but I heard it could backfire on you so decided against it. Pooping on the table was one of my biggest fears and honestly have no idea if I did.
St. Charles didn't even offer it to me.

I have done them before because of a surgery i needed. They arent too bad but they are not fun either!! lol. Basically you put it in and within 2 to 5 minutes. (Possibly TMI) You feel what feels like explosive diahreah and pee outta your butt for a little while. You stop going within 20 minutes to a half hour. The end..

I worried about pooping so much, wasn't offered an enema and even though I was worried, I wouldnt' have done it anyway. Now, just to let you all know, I did poop while pushing, alot apparently...but, I had NO idea at the time, the nurses don't even blink about it, it's just another part of labor and seriously, not even worth 2 seconds of thought or worry in hindsight.
The only reason I even knew was because I asked my L&D nurse while I was in recovery if I did and she said yes, but said the same thing, it happens a million times a day with them so it's nothing.

Def don't think is necessary AT ALL!! If you poop on the table they clean is sooo quickly no one notices anyway.
