Drive In Movies Roller Skating Getting off my tush to change the channel. The "Cable Box". After school concerts, you ALWAYS went to Friendly's, LOL. Atari Nintendo Wall Phones No Computer...Once homework was done you were outside playing with EVERYONE from the neighborhood until it got dark

I remember when the only internet was "prodigy" bulletin boards. I met a guy from Brooklyn on there & we still talk today!!
I remeber the game Oregon Trail
I also remember when tehre was not a 3rd brake light on a vehicle!

I remember when they had this really huge bird cage in the Whitman Mall!!!!!
Does everyone remember when it burned down???!!!! CRAZY how horrible was that for a teen???!!!!!!
speaking of cable TV...Who here remembers that if you pressed the right combination of buttons you could get a scrambles channel..like PLAYBOY!!!!

YESSS reminds me of when MTV first came out and my sisters and I were addicted. My Dad fooled with the cable box so that we couldn't watch it anymore.... but we found combinations on the box so that we could watch it!!!

I was from Sag harbor, so driving past that area was UP ISLAND to us, and I rmember a big PUMPKIN up by the sign!

I remember my sister dislocating my arm while she pulled me out of a high-chair at Burger King in the early 70s. Shes 50 now. Payback's a BIOTCH.

I remember telling my younger sister in a Carls Jr that putting up the middle finger meant Hello Yes I got in BIG trouble for that one

I was just talking about this with my mom. The toy store was Playworld. Then it became a flea market. I remember Mays, but Im older. I remember the South Gate condo when they were a shopping center. I also remember Korvettes in the Sunrise Mall. Woolworths too! Jordache Jeans, the tighter the better. Sweet Honesty

I remember having no choice but to use a payphone to call my Mom when I got to where I was going. Gas was under a dollar when I started driving. Shopping at Ben Franklin Watching Zoom and Wonderama on TV. Making popcorn on the stove(Jiffypop)

I remember the store B. Altmans - where I got my prom dress.
I also remember when the Americana Mall in Manhasset had a JJ Newberry store and a movie theater where I sat for three hours in complete boredom watching "Chariots of Fire."

*When McCarthur airport had a waiting area where the seats had personal tvs.
*When Smithaven mall had stores like Fluff-N-Stuff and Moments of Love in the middle of the aisles (I know there are other are former sticker collectors who spent a bit of time there! )
*tossing pennies into the fountains at the Smithaven Mall
*Did anybody else have lots of mobiles hanging from their ceiling?!
*my Vic-20 and the cassette tapes (before floppys)
