PED wait times!!! How long do you wait!!Seaford Ped patients come in !!!
the last couple of times at my ped office I have literally waited an hour before we get called in to the room to wait another 20 mins more!!
While I HATE IT.. I understand for a sick visit stuff happens.. HOWEVER.. when you go at the times they ONLY SCHEDULE WELL VISITS..why am I still waiting an hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is this normal waiting time for peds!! If so..I will try and be more understanding about it and not so angry!!!
eta: they have SIX Dr/s there and they had only 2 scheduled for well visits.
ETA: IT'S SEAFORD PED...DO OTHER PATIENTS OF THEIRS HAVE THIS PROBLEM?

20 mins max for mine, unless its back to school time, and older kids are starting sports and crap. I would say something. I hate waiting.

we have never waited longer than like 6 minutes.
one time we got stuck in the room (once you are done with the waiting room and are in the exam room).
they came in and said that there was an emergency with the patient before us and it may be about 20 minutes or so. they provided us with a portable dvd player & a dora movie. It was very nice of them & really sold me on the change that we had made to this practice!

Maybe like 5-10 minutes TOPS in the waiting room, but sometimes like 15-20 in the room waiting for the Dr after the nurse does the weight, measurement, developmental questions, tempature, etc.

There have a time or two when we wait for an hour or so. Those were really backed up days. Most of the time the receptionist will call my cell and tell me to not come in until she rings the cell instead of sitting out in the waiting room. It's annoying but at least Im not waiting in the small waiting room.
Most of the time our wait time is 10 min tops.

i wait 5-10 min.. there is only 1 ped.. so i think that really helps.. they do their scheduling very well.

It's about the same for us... esp when she was a newborn. They have a ton of exam rooms, so you rarely wait more than 5 minutes to get into one.. then the nurse comes in right away to do all of the measurements and we've waited anywhere from 5-20 mins for the Dr.

There have been times we waited 45 minutes. It's very frustrating having a toddler waiting for that long at the dr. I really like the drs otherwise I would consider switching...........

For well visit, i havent waited for more then 15 minutes. But there has been a few times we went for sick visit and waited 45 minutes

same with my ped. I almost never wait more than 10 min in the waiting room to get called. a few times i've waited a long time in the exam room but it was towards the end of the day and i understand..sh**happens some days.
I live in PA but i would not put up with the wait time you are describing. Especially with toddlers..its hard enough keeping them occupied.

We use Seaford Peds and the longest in the waiting room was probably 20 minutes at the max and in the room maybe another 10 but thats because I specifically request to be seen by Dr. Wren.
And we once had a sick visit for our older one and it was right after school...appointment was at 3:20...DH and DD were home by 4pm.....
Sorry you have had such long wait times!!

It could be the timing.. i work so we go after work.. im sure it's their busy time but seriously.. you HIRED TWO MORE DR...FOR A TOTAL OF 6 DR... YOU HAVE ONLY TWO WORKING!!!
AND I find it INCREDIBLY UNFAIR that in order for me NOT TO WAIT AN HOUR...I have to take time from work to go during the day!!!

ETA: to mikeswife...I love the drs.. and its soo close.. only thing keeping me there.

I hate seaford peds. Not only the wait, but I found Dr. Meckes terrible. That is why I switched to Dr. Rubin in Mineola. Love her...and will never go back.

The main reason why I switched peds when DD was 1 was b/c of ridiculously long wait times, they were at least 2 hours at the original ped office we were at. We switched to a smaller office and now wait a max of 15 mins!
