No way no how.
I would do anything to avoid that situation.
I love both sets of parents dearly, I just don't see that working out.
We are all happier living on our own.
Down the road if my mom or dad was alone, I would certainly have them live with me.
Same here...I love my parents to death but there is no way I could live with them or with the in laws unless we absolutely had no other choice.

I dont see anything wrong with it but I never did. I remember my dad wanted to sell my childhood home and buy a 2 family house just so we could all live together lol after i got married... we bought our own house though.

we rent from my in laws. they do not live in this house ( it is a 2 family home) we are so fortunate to have this awesome deal.

We live on our own and own a home. We would never EVER move in with my in laws nor my own parents. That is just not an option.

We bought a house 2 1/2 years ago with an apartment in it. My IL's are moving in with us...but into the seperate apartment. (Oh joy!)

I am contemplating do t his right now.... mt DH moved into my parents house before we were even engaged. he was there for almost 1.5 yrs before we got engaged. we moved out & got our oen apt about 4 months after getting engaged & we were married 4 months after that. We just had a baby who is now 3 months old & our lease is up. but we are not having any luck finding an affordable 2 br with a washer & dryer. SO we are thinking about moving back in with my parents to save money for a house & hopefully buy something next year. But I am hesitating to do it because i feel like we need our privacy & space! My grandfather & my 18 yr old sister are also living there so it would not just be us & my parents....

we own a coop i would love to live w/ my mom but she is remarried and I could never ever everrrrrrrr live w/ her DH. I tried that once and it was the worst year of my life!

DH and i moved in together right after college (he wasn't my dh then of course!) we didn't want to live with our parents and opted for a very small apartment in long beach over one of their houses, but i really do think that this has everything to do with each individual situation. this is a tough question you're asking b/c sometimes its not just about saving money. i'm a perfect example of this - my (childhood) house was too depressing to go back to, my mom had passed a few years prior and my dad has let the house go to sh*t. I can't stand looking at the beautiful house I grew up in that my mom took so much pride in look like that. DH's parents are just really difficult people (some of you have seen my posts!!) and his parents house is disgusting, as in not sanitary, so we both just wanted out.

We have our own home. Down the line, my parents and/or in-laws would be more than welcome to come and live with us. We've already told my in-laws (they are in their late 70s).
However, since I moved out at 24 (I am 37 now) it would be really, really hard for me and DH to go and live with either set of parents, simply because I'm so used to being independent. If I'd married young and had never been on my own it would have been easier.

we have our own home but we have been renting it out since january. DH was in the NYC DOC academy and we couldnt afford the house anymore and couldnt sell it. MIL just got divorced so she has a ton of room. It has it's moments but it's nice most of the time. dont get me wrong i CAN"T WAIT to moce out but until dh's salary goes up and we pay off our debt we made for ourselves(by the summer) and sell our current house we will have enough money saved for a new better house.

My mother is widowed, and I could see buying a house with an apt for her to live in. but for now she is fine where she is.

this is how i grew up in a 2 family house with my mom's parents and would not always see my grandparents, but they were very helpful for my mom with 5 kids and my dad working late.
if it was a 2 family house with privacy and boundaries, i would have no problem living with my inlaws.

we own our own house, but when we sell, we will most likely have to move in for a bit 1-6 months as we wait to buy.
we also lived with them for 3 months when we moved back to NY - 2 weeks with a newborn
