Room layout opinions, please!
We aren't picking up our crib or dresser/changer combo until is born so i'm trying to get an idea of how I want the room layout to be. I did two layouts (using http://www.babysdream.com/Icovia/NurseryPlanner.htm) and just wanted to get your opinions.
It's a crib, dresser/changer combo, glider/ottoman, low bookcase (pic in album) and toy box under window.
WDYT? Feel free to give other suggestions too. Image Attachment(s):

Re: Room layout opinions, please!
We have DSs room set up like option 2. I like it a lot.
ETS: I thought the changing table is opposite the crib in front of the door. That is how we have it. Can you do that?

Re: Room layout opinions, please!
I like the first one. The changing table is right when you walk in, you dont need to walk around furniture to get there quick if you have to.

Re: Room layout opinions, please!
I like option #1 because of the access to the changing table and the access to the bookcase from the chair.

I like option 2 the best.
What I do like about option 1 is how the crib and dresser/changer are right across from each other. I feel like that is a very convenient layout. (sorry, I'm no help)

Re: Room layout opinions, please!
I'd like #1 better if the glider and bookcase were on opposite sides.

Re: Room layout opinions, please!
I wouldn't have the bookcase spanning the corner. It should be up against either wall. One, you need to anchor it to the wall so it won't tip over, and two, you're bound to drop things behind there with a gap that large.

Re: Room layout opinions, please!
The first one... This is kind of how we have our baby's nursery set up except the changing table is on the further wall straight ahead when you walk in.

We were thinking of doing the changing table under the window but I don't know about that... I'll have to see when we get the furniture in. Then if we do that I don't know where we'd put the toy box that is there now.

Re: Room layout opinions, please!
I like option 2 the best but is there a way you could put the changing table closer to the closet???? We did that & I figured it would be more convient especially since i know you have the storage system in there

Re: Room layout opinions, please!
I like #1 because the baby won't see you if you leave the door cracked plus I think it will be quieter with the crib on that wall (we recently moved our bed in the MB and I couldn't believe the difference it made).

Yeah we put the changing table under the window but it's a different window, it's not low it's kind of a high window so I was ok with it. We moved the room around 3x, you will totally know when it finally feels right to you and you get the furniture in and play around.

Re: Room layout opinions, please!
I really like layout #1, but my concern would be the bookcase not against the wall. It could be easily tipped.

Re: Room layout opinions, please!
I like the first layout. It looks more open, like you won't be bumping into things. That's important especially when holding dd!
