I would say no--you have such beautiful floors that I don't think you need one. I'm also weird though I don't like carpet under a dining room table.

I love how it looks but we don't have one bc:
-Our dining room is really big and it would cost a fortune to get an area rug
- more of a pain to clean

My gut says no
I hate how the chairs stick and have the issue of how big is the carpet vs how far back will your chair be.. if its too small and you push back you rarely EVER push back so both back feet are on the wood so you end up uneven, yuck.
I also have a 2yr old so for us no carpet mean easy clean up. Sweep, swifter, done. She can toss her food at will, I won't care. 
I do like the way they look but just don't think they work with my own lifestyle.

I think rugs under DR tables look great, but they are likely to get stained easily, and are also to move the chairs on. Personally, I don't think I would do it.
