Terms of Endearment - Emma's Goodbye at hospital
("And stop trying to pretend that you hate me. I mean, it's silly...I know you like me. I know it. For the last year or two, you've been pretending like you hate me. I love you very much. I love you as much as I love anybody, as much as I love myself. And in a few years when I haven't been around to be on your tail about something or irritating you, you're gonna remember... that time that I bought you the baseball glove when you thought we were too broke. You know? Or when I read you those stories? Or when I let you goof off instead of mowing the lawn? Lots of things like that. And you're gonna realize that you love me. And maybe you're gonna feel badly, because you never told me. But don't - I know that you love me. So don't ever do that to yourself, all right?")
I forgot about this one. I don't think I have ever NOT cried watching that scene!
I cried reading it just now
OMG... me, too.
I also BAWL every time I watch Hope Floats when the mother dies. DH just opens his arms up for me to crawl into because he knows I'll be hysterical. Then again, it also happens to be one of my FAVORITE movies!

The only movie that I was ball it out hysterical where I couldnt even control myself was
Pay it Forward
I remember calling my mom after it happened and yelling at her for not warning me since she had seen it and knew I was watching it.
oh God I cried SO hard then I walked away MAD!! MAD at that STUPID FREAKING ENDING!
I can't watch that movie now because of it.

Re: Saddest Movie?
My Life P.S. I Love You Marley & Me (I read the book 4 times and sobbed every single time & every time I watched the movie too)
But the movie I was absolutely HYSTERICAL over was Message in a Bottle with Kevin Costner. Any time I even thought of the movie the week after I started sobbing again.

Posted by cds58019 Armegeddon- where Bruce Willis talks to Liv Tyler telling her "he's going to have to break that promise" and "I'll check in on ya from time to time". Teared up just typing that.
This is the only movie that I watch repeatedly yet cry every time. That part just breaks my heart!!!!
I forgot about this one!
And definitely Old Yeller, I think that's the only time I've ever seen my dad cry.
Toy Story 3 (I cry at all Disney movies though )

Many good ones picked! I have to add Bridges of Madison County.
YES!!! I SOB at the end when Clint Eastwood is behind Meryl Streep & her husband in the truck, and she is clenching the door handle trying to get the courage to open it. It kills me!

Re: Saddest Movie?
I'll add Here on Earth.
It might have been mentioned, but in A League of Their Own when Tom Hanks tells Betty Spaghetti that her husband died in the war I lose it every time, no matter how many times I see it.

Re: Saddest Movie?
These movies I was hysterical....
Marley and Me Hachi....I cant even describe what this movie is about to someone without balling. I started watching it thinking it would be a dog movie where the dog passes...I was not expecting what happens. My Life Philadelphia A walk to remember The Notebook Dear John ET...still gets me everytime I watch it
